sportsmaniac
Final. A nice win for the Bearcats. They were up as much as 20 before Boone made a run at the end of the game to get it to 10. Also, WV won the JV and Freshman games. 3 game sweep for the Bearcats!
TheSteelCat
3 game sweep by the small school in Boone County? Not good for the Rebels..
TheSteelCat
Are the Bearcats starting to play as if they can compete for district title? Have just been looking at their scores lately and wondering if they can make the push?
Hands & Feet
With the way SK has played recently, there is definitely more parity in this district. Any of the four teams could qualify for regions, but I would lean toward SK & WV. Walton is improving with each game though.
Big Crazy
WOW! I knew BC was down but.... WV must be playing some good basketball. Congrats to them and their Coach.

TheSteelCat
I think box score said Sullivan lead the way for WV with 5 threes for 15 pts and Purnell lead for Boone I believe.
Voice of Reason
For those who are not aware, Boone County is now 3-14 on the season. This score is more of a sign of improvement for Boone than a significant win for Walton Verona.
Big Crazy
Boone: Purnell 18, Bowman 16, Nyman 8 WV: Sullivan 15 (5- 3's), Lay 15, Clinkenbeard 10 Top 3 for each per box scores Sounds like some nice 3 shooting for the WV Sullivan and team together. This is a game where Boone's top scorer for the season had a off night going 0-9 and Boone's 6'-8" center was home sick. WV is a good team, but Boone at full strength could have changed the outcome. TheSteelCat
Also heard this was a 20 point game with about 3 minutes to go so maybe not even as close as the score shows?
First Base
So one with a off night, one home sick and that's what happen to the varsity, what happen to the JV and Freshmen games?
98NCCalum
Also heard this was a 20 point game with about 3 minutes to go so maybe not even as close as the score shows? It was 22....WV is the better team top to bottom, starting with the HC.

It was a 20 point game and with about 2:35, WV called a time out And put all starters back in after Boone went on a little run.
Juneball1
So one with a off night, one home sick and that's what happen to the varsity, what happen to the JV and Freshmen games? Boone has started over half the games on varsity with 3 soph and 2 juniors because of losing a lot last season. If the 3 soph were on JV this season, there would be not many teams able to stay with them. I guess Boone has decided to take some losses this season, but the younger players on varsity is getting a lot of experience and I feel everyone will see the payoff in the next couple of seasons. My comments was not to take away from WV, just to comment on Boone's progress this season. They started off with one of the toughest schedules with the least experience , but keep improving each game.
