Walton-Verona 67 Boone County 57

WV starts 2 sophomores on varsity and I believe their JV is compromised of 90% freshman players.... I am thinking that if you put Lay/Clinkenbeard on the current WV jv team that "they could stay with" Boone's jv team with those sophomores added.

It was a 20 point game and with about 2:35, WV called a time out And put all starters back in after Boone went on a little run.

I don't know what game you were watching. My son starts for WV and he never came back into the game.

Has Walton's freshmen lost yet?

It was 22....WV is the better team top to bottom, starting with the HC.

Walton has a good thing going on. I'm really happy for them now and in the future. McQueery for Boone has done nothing but an excellent job. The numbers are a little down right now but him and Downs (JV coach) put the kids in position to win and they are not that far off.

Boone is 5x the size of Walton. Numbers are not an excuse that's viable.

Walton's freshmen lost to Ryle in a close contest (can't remember the score) on a night four of their players were in Louisville at a JV/Varsity game because it ended up being double scheduled. Otherwise, their games have been primarily double digit wins with liberal substitutions.
