Walton opened up with a box and chaser keyed on Brennan Stanley and took Williamstown out of the game early, holding them scoreless for the first four and a half minutes, and building and maintaining the lead from there.

 

It's tough to beat a good gameplan and even tougher when the gameplan is well executed.

What did the Demons do against the box and one?

Not much...

 

 

In all seriousness, they kept chucking from deep and didn't seem interested in testing WVs bigs. I'd be surprised to learn they shot better than 30%.

Seems like WV always has a junk defense for Stanley that has worked, I am sure he does not enjoy playing them.

Great defensive game plan by Coach Brannen. Also, great performance by all the players last night. Zach Clinkenbeard was fantastic on offense passing out of the middle of the zone and rebounding the ball. Austin Lay did a great job on defense against Stanley, Elliot Brook altered a ton of shots in the paint and passed the ball out of double teams in the post well. Chance Sullivan and Evan Anderson were great against the press and running the offense. Jeremy Moran and Jared Poore contributed off the bench and provided great energy. Kyle Kinmon shot the ball great in the first half. Total team effort and a joy to watch last night.

Definitely sounds like a total team effort and a good game plan that was executed! Congrats to the Bearcats and good luck to both teams from here on out. Will be anxious to see the box scores.
