I was very impressed with Scott Co. tonight. They were very impressive.

As a former Head Coach, it just bothers me that people can sit back and criticize coaches behind a screen name. Make your user name your real name and then let's see if the criticism continues. Most coaches i know work their tails off for their teams and school for next to nothing pay, but fans expect them to be Coach K or Coach Cal like, without D-1 athletes. In the last year i have listened to fans complain about Coach Steiner, Coach Trame, and Coach Hicks. All 3 of them work hard and together they might have 6 or 7 kids that will play college basketball (none D-1) IMO. However, a lot of fans sit back and complain about all these things they do. All 3 coaches, prepare their players for life and put a ton of time into their programs and demand that their players play hard. Let's all learn to enjoy HS basketball instead of complain about it.

To get on a message board, hide behind a user name and call someone inept is just wrong! If you don't approve of Coach Steiner or your son isn't getting to play enough, fine be mad! Don't call him inept, Steiner works hard at what he does, his players play hard for him and they win. Maybe not enough to suit you or like i said maybe your son couldn't handle playing for him. He isn't inept, he is a very good high school coach!

Great game tonight. It is a shame that both schools didn't have more support there to see what HS basketball is all about. WV had a great gameplan and executed it for about 25 minutes to perfection. They lost focus for a minute and Simon Kenton took advantage. WV then battled to keep it close the whole way. Credit to WV's staff for a great gameplan and credit to Simon Kenton's staff for not panicking.

This could not be recognized as a state award because every district handles season play differently. Some districts require everyone plays twice, some once, and some districts have schools that don't even play each other. So the season District Champion is really just for seeding purposes or for talking smack!

Still a 3 team district in that Region. I just don't understand why they don't realign the whole state.

I agree 100%! I use to tell kids that played for me, "You might think i am the worst coach ever, i hope you don't, but if you do you should still play hard because you love basketball!

I wouldn't sleep on Owen County. They looked very good last night in the 8th Region Finals! I was very impressed with their performance.

Congrats to Coach Hicks and his players! Claimed the 1seed for the district, first time ever since they started seeding in the 32nd. Keep up the good work.

1st let me say congratulations to the Lady Wildcats and Coach Roberts. I great accomplishment for a great coach and person! Also, congrats to the Dossett family (players and coach). 2nd you people looking to start something by saying that the Trimble County coach had to eat her words for saying last year we didn't win and have unfinished business??? Come on people, what is she suppose to say we were glad we finished 2nd and hope to again? If you don't win the tournament you have unfinished business the next year. She should say the same thing next year and hope that they can win it. Don't try to create controversy! Big thing though, CONGRATS Lady Wildcats.

Don't ever give up on your school. When people quit trying to make changes or help others it makes your work seem less meaningful. You have worked hard to help HHS, keep doing so and if you are not happy voice your concern the right way. Be respectful, but never stop voicing your opinion.
