Great pitcher's duel. LexCath seems to be on a mission. Once again, tradition always gives a team a fighting chance

I think the Knights win in three. Either way, great season LexCath. Many thought this would be a rebuilding year but tradition never dies.

How about starting the tourney on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. Semis on Friday evening and finals on Sunday evening?

I agree that quality teams are left at home and mis-spoke in stating otherwise, however, having said that, any way other than our current system would be subjective and would always be open to argument. As an example, many people believe that Scott County has a quality team and with another opportunity might beat Lexington Catholic but it isn't fair to randomly give them a second opportunity. I would go so far as to suggest that maybe the district runner-up doesn't deserve another chance in regionals

If they were truly a quality team, they'd be playing in Rupp this week. I'm with "Thatswhatshesaid". Post the 8 quality teams that you think should be added and let the BGP fans of those teams not included let you know how they feel about this plan.

I'll be there from Thursday afternoon on, rooting for the Knights of LexCath. If they get eliminated, I'll be there just as a fan of the best high school basketball in America. Good luck to all teams

Mason County always shows up big time and would expect nothing less this time around. I don't really how to measure this objectively, anyway

Like I've said in the past, Billy Hicks is very gracious as a coach, as long as he's winning. When he beat LexCath earlier in te year, he had nothing but high praise for the Knights. By the way, has Scott County and Lexington Catholic ever played a game in which Hicks has not gotten a technical foul?

I was at the game but did not have the best angle. All I know is Martin was on the floor and the ball never reached the basket. We'll take the win any way we can get it

Great win for the Lady Knights. Off year without many bright moments but this is certainly a highlight

I agree but after seeing Scott County, I would have to say they're the favorite. Besides, they would be the truest of state champions since they have players from all over the state.

My question is why more schools are not boycotting Scott County in the same manner they boycott other schools?

I in no way intend to criticize Zollo but just as a curiosity, what do you think that BCG saw in him that warranted a scholarship offer?

LexCath, after losing many seniors last year, are a young a re-loading team. This loss will only help them down the road. Good win for J'town, nonetheless

I don't want to make a big deal out of it, but since you asked what happened: various condiments were splashed or squirted on all of the bleachers on the visitor's side. Someone provided a box of garbage bags so that the seats could be covered before sitting down. A moot point since if you in fact did sit down, you couldn't see the game over the LexCath bench players. I prefer to stand up anyway, so at least in this atmosphere I didn't hear anyone say "down in front" All of this back and forth takes away from the action on the field, however. Overall, I find the Boyle County fans to be most gracious and I love the home field grandstands. I wish we had something like that at LC although I don't think we would ever pack 'em in like the Rebel faithful

I don't know whether they could have run the ball more or not. It would have been nice to have found out. I do think, however that the offense had improved over the past few games by showing a better mix in running and passing. Again, this might be because of the competition, but I would certainly like to have seen more of Raglin earlier in the game. As for the receivers, I don't think I said they weren't as good; just not as big or speedy. I base that opinion on watching the Knights teams for the last 10 years. That's just my opinion, however. Like noses, everyone has one

Agree 100%. Obviously, a high school prank which caused no harm. As to the game, Boyle had great execution and seemed to be consistently disciplined in their defense. I would have like to have seen the Knights offense run the ball a little more early. I agree that their WR's aren't as big and speedy as usual and I felt the play-calling was pretty predictable. Overall, a good year for LexCath and best of luck to the Rebels next week

Haven't seen Highlands play this year but have seenLexCath a lot. Highlands 59-10

I personally feel that Hazard should have passed more. The fourth quarter rally by the Bulldogs was due, largely, by some beuatiful pass plays.
