BaseballIsLife Posted February 15, 2009 Author Posted February 15, 2009 Scott County Stat Leaders Guyn 22 points Jackson 19 points Phares 26 points, 16 rebounds Lexington Catholic Stat Leaders Sanford 28 points, 5 steals Martin 17 points
Log Mountain Boy Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Great game last night! It was really back and forth. Phares and Sanford both played very well for their teams. Does anyone know why Aaron Ford didn't play for Scott Co? Also, Manning left in the 2nd qtr I believe and never came back. He appeared to be limping.
Austydak Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I believe Ford is battling a ankle sprain. I think that is what I heard last night.
B-Ball-fan Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Just curious if the 11th Region faithful think that Scott Co. is a sure thing to make it to Rupp or will Lex Cath have something to say about that? As 11th Region teams are progressing as they head into post season play, what teams do you think other than Scott Co. have a REAL shot at winning the region? I follow the 9th pretty closely, but haven't had much in-person view of 11th Region teams. Just wonderin' what your gut tells you is REALLY possible. :idunno:
Your Daddy Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I think on a given night any one of 6 teams could win it: Scott County Franklin County Lexington Catholic Tates Creek Bryan Station Dunbar
swamp thang Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 (edited) I agree but after seeing Scott County, I would have to say they're the favorite. Besides, they would be the truest of state champions since they have players from all over the state. Edited February 15, 2009 by Ram Rule 13

Manning hurt his ankle early in the 2nd quarter. For Scott Co. to win that game when they had two players out with injury and Jackson out alot of the game with foul problem shows what this team is made of. This was their most impressive game of the year IMO.:thumb:

dryz93 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I'm thinking Franklin County and Tates Creek have given Scott County the most trouble this year. It's always gonna be a tight game at Lexington Catholic and on a neutral court Scott County will have a little bigger edge than last night's game. That being said, good win for Scott County, it's always a battle in that game and to win at Lex. Cath. is always a good win.
strongopenyon Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I think on a given night any one of 6 teams could win it: Scott County Franklin County Lexington Catholic Tates Creek Bryan Station Dunbar I can't see this! I think Scott County is a very clear cut favorite to make it to Rupp Arena.
