  1. It looks pretty clean to me. I feel for Zac.
  2. Chambers went into the middle of about 4 OC players and lost the ball to Williams. He atempted to grab the ball back and didnt put his hands down to catch himself and his head was the 1st thing to hit the floor.
  3. The Lady Rebels might have quite a run coming for the next few years as Gayheart is only a sophomore, and Neeley and Waldrop are only freshmen.
  4. Just confirmed with one of the players, no one was injured.
  5. Actually, I can imagine the game being at Eminence. In 2007, when Owen and Gallatin both had great teams, the tournament was held there. It was an electric atmosphere though.
  6. I'll take the Rebels in an inspired game because of what happened in the "A" last year.
  7. Im pretty sure that gaurd transfered to Grant County.
  8. Here's no excuses from an Owen County fan. Henry County played a great game and followed the gameplan very well like they do every time against the Rebels. The Wildcats slowed the game down and kept it low scoring like they've had success in the past against Owen County.
  9. Did Williamstown play a packed in zone and force the SK gaurds to shoot it? I'm suprised the game was this close.
  10. The game was back in forth the 1st half and going into the half Owen hit a lay-up with 1 second left and went in the half with alot of momentum and came out the second half with confidence and played real well. This game really was the 1st time they were able to get out and run the court this season.
  11. So what exactly does the girls game have to do with this?
  12. Joel Carlton has a high ankle sprain and Zac Jones has a bad ankle as well. Joel didnt play agianst Henry either.
  13. I thought Owen played pretty well tonight, just didn't hit free throws down the stretch and allowed Carroll back into the game. Stone Osborne played the best game of his career by far tonight, with alot more to come. For the Panthers, Ethan Stewart shot the lights out. Not sure how many he ended up with, but he was money in the second half.
  14. Ok game 1 big boy Sawyer had 15 points 13 boards, game 2 Sawyer with 22 points 7 boards, game 3 Sawyer with 16 points 8 boards and named NCKC player of the week. So name me a "big boy" with better numbers in the district. I seriously doubt that you can. Big boy Jordan shoots over 33% from 3's so why not have him step and shoot some.
  15. I agree GC has been playin well I predict the score to be Gallatin 72- Henry 45
  16. It was about a 20 point game the whole night till the last few minutes when TC hit some desperation 3's. Good win for the Rebels.
  17. This loss should present Holmes with a good learning experience and help them come March
  18. South has a lot of experience and WH's press will not work against them... South will shoot 3's and win by about 15
  19. Owen didn't play well. They shot the ball very poorly. I believe they were 4/26 behind the 3 point line and 2/9 from the foul line. If they shot the ball decent at all, then the margin could have been dramatically different. Good to see the Rebels pull out a win against a scrappy Williamstown team with a poor shooting night though.
  20. IMO Chambers should be in the top 10 players of the region. He proved last year in the region tourny that he has the ability to score when needed and he was only a freshman.
  21. I went by the gym and Friday and caught the last half of practice. Shelton went pretty much the whole day.
  22. I'm not sure where you get this about Stone. He is one of the nicest kids I've ever met and you are putting him off to be a hot head. Spend some time around the kid before you go and bash him like that.
  23. Owen County lost their three starting guards from the district championship team a year ago in Drew Marston, Blake Traylor and all 8th region player, Collin Gamble. All three big men return, but the guard play will be key. Kyle Kelly is a good ball handler and game manager, but they need to find someone else that can handle the ball. Lewis is very athletic and has alot of potential, but let's his head get in his way sometimes and struggles handling the ball at times. If he stops thinking about what he is doing, then he will have a great year. Jordan Shelton and Michael Colligan return for the Rebels frontcourt, with Shelton averaging a double-double last year, and Colligan 3rd in the state in field goal percentage. After watching Owen play this summer, I think that alot people will be surprised by the play of sophomores Stone Osborne and Sawyer Williams. Williams dominated alot of games this summer and I saw him throwing down hard in warmups. I recently talked to an Owen County assistant who told me that Osborne looks like a totally different kid out there on the court after spending a summer in the weight room. Without a single junior on the team, those two sophomores will have to grow up quick. If Lewis and Kelly can get into a flow early in the season and handle the pressure, then I think this team could be very good this year.
