Owen County wins and advances to play the Rockets of Shelby County. SK got off to a fast start but Owen clawed back into the game and once they got a lead they were able to sustain. Owen went 27-43 from the line, seemed like every possession resulted in a march to the line. SK 15-25 from the line so they were really crushed from the line shots wise. Sorrell led the Neers with 22 and had seven boards. Soph, Chambers with 16 for SK. Owen was led by Sawyer Williams' 19, with 9 of 13 from the stripe. Blake Lewis with 12, all in the 2nd half and Jordan Shleton 12. SK loses three Srs, Sorrell, Bishop and Mulberry, sorry to see them ending their careers.

Congrats to Coach Duvall and the Rebels. Marks second consecutive year that the 31st District will be represented in both semifinal games. I recall six years ago when the Districts/Region were realigned, a few members of this forum voiced their opinion that the 31st District was the weakest District in the state. I don't think that is the case at this point.

I agree it looks like of the 64 teams left in the state 2 of them are from the 31st not bad for two all A schools. What happened to SK dominating the 8th Region? I guess they do dominate the 32nd district though.

This is a boys b-ball thread and if I am not mistaken I was talking about boys basketball.

68 Free Throws shot in this game? Wow...in the NCC/Boone Co game I think a total of 20 were shot if that.

I reallly like going down there to watch games but what a long trip back when the Neers go down. I didn't pull in the driveway until after 11:30 and I went straight home. Disappointing loss for sure. Officiating was horrible but you have to take care of business and make the foul shots you are given.

When was the last time Owen County won a regional game?
