It was very close. J-town did not take control until just a few minutes left in the game. Catholic was up 8 at the half and J-town up one after the 3rd. Pretty intense game. 17 fouls in the 3rd quarter alone.

Yes. A bit on the questionable side. There were 7 or 8 offensive fouls in the 3rd quarter. One of them was pretty bad and he got a warning at that point. On another one in the 4th, he got one after another bad call----questionable T at best. The ejection came just a few minutes later when he was trying to call up. He was up out of his seat trying to call a time out and signaled it in the officials face. I could see both sides----it was very loud at that point and a 3 or 4 point game so he needed to make sure he got the TO. At the same time, I can see where the official thought it was "showing up" the referees by signaling in his face.

Refs were not the problem in this one. Lex Cath lost their composure (including the coach) and forgot to play basketball in the 3rd and 4th qtr. I see Lex Cath as a middle of the road team, which means Jtown is probably a little above middle of the road.

Please remember, Jtown was playing without 2 starters in PF Tim Jackson and SG Aaron Cosby. Plus, Coach Morrow is out until next week. Jtown is playing pretty well now but will really start to go to another level once all the pieces are in place.

Good win for J'town. Any time you can beat a team like LC without your head coach and 2 starters, it tells a little about your team's character. J'town is a legit top 5 team.

Thomas Jackson for J'town led all scorers with 35 points. Just saw it on the KOB site.
