Even you know that in order to win the heavyweight title of the world you have to fight the best to be considered the best.

So if you are a player and you are the main focus by opposing defenses and that player is able to lead their respective team wins they deserve more consideration. This has been duly noted for future discussions.

I don't think so. They are superb guards in the 16th. The season is long and they should have their chance to prove something down the road.

Are we saying that Elliott County's backcourt has no help winning games in the 16th region? Is the talent only with the Faulkners?

What about Morones and Ashford's will to win? What about Riley's? Didn't they have the will to win against opposing teams that were said to be unstoppable?

Yes, and they are a very good team. Their backcourt has played together for a few years. You have a lot of new backcourts that are just forming right now. For instance, Bryan Station's with the loss of Mack. Right now, wouldn't you say Station's backcourt has accomplished more than any other backcourt in the state?

Does it matter who is recruiting Riley and Holmes backcourt? What is Elliott County's signature win that makes them the top backcourt? There's no doubt their the top backcourt in the 16th. I mean in the state.

Why would you ask for his stats? Ask about Riley's schedule and the talent he's faced. Riley acconplished something others have yet accomplish in years. Leading his team to a win over a #1 team or against an opponant ranked higher than his team.

Holmes backcourt led their team to a win against the top team in the state. Wouldn't that place them at higher level at this point? What other backcourt can say that?

I would think it would be entertaining to watch the backcourt of Bryan Station light it up against the #2 team in the state in their win. Or how about the party that was thrown by Holmes backcourt knocking off the unanimous #1 team Scott County. Greatness is not measured in winning against teams you are supposed to, but rather winning against teams that you are not supposed to win.

Right. Cox is good and they try to isolate him for ever shot down the court. He struggled handling the ball against the pressure. Macon rebounded well.

Sure you can. All you have to do is prove it. Kentucky has a special brand of basketball regardless of how much talent it has or how many go D1. I think this is the year Elliott beats a top 20 team.

For years, Kentucky has always won against the out-of-state teams regardless if people say others have more talent.

No doubt about it. Nice win. Proof positive that Kentucky can send a top 10 team over to West Virginia and win. Just imagine how well our state would do against WV teams considering teams like Holmes, Scott County, Bryan Station, Manual, Eastern, and Jtown would dominate there.

I think this is great to know the state of Kentucky would absolutely obligerate West Virginia. Bryan Station, Holmes, Manual, Scott County, Jeffersontown, all would absolutley own West Virginia.

Agreed. This game opened up 19 - 2. Taylor County basically just gave the ball to Cox at the top of the key and let him shoot. The 5th region is a little down this year.

Taylor County was invited? Cox was the only one who could shoot and Macon can't hit from 5 feet out. They still could do well in the 5th. For Manual, its Lex Cath or Jtown. I guess it gets real now.
