New sports facilities for Garrard County
Statsdontlie replied to CentralSports's topic in KY Football (High School)
So they are getting a bigger gym at there new High School? -
Dennis Johnson would be my first call. His Son is a Freshman QB and top 5 player in his class for Basketball.
-
Longtime assistant Brian Rowland. Been there forever. I think he's ready to be the man if he applies. Not sure if he wants to be a head coach though.

Mercer County Titans Football

Coach Buchanan is the definition of a real High School Coach. He really cares about his players. Not many High School coaches keep in contact with former Players, but Coach Buchanan does. He cares about you on and off the field. He holds you accountable but will have your back no matter what. I hope he don't stay away from the game too long, kids need him more than he knows. A lot of kids come from broken homes and Coach Buchanan was a father figure to many. I respect this man to the fullest. -
I'm just glad the administration is doing what they feel is the best for the kids and not who some parents of players want.
-
Correct. Only like 5 to 6 kids play football on the basketball team.

I think Josh needs to take this job, he turned down Danville and if he turns this job down I don't think many schools will consider him in the future. Josh needs to give Lincoln an answer soon to be fair to the administration. Josh will need to get in the school and go to basketball games to get some kids out that's not playing but could possibly help Lincoln in football.

This jobs is going to Josh Jaggers if he wants it. End of discussion!

Boyle County 43 Lincoln County 40
Statsdontlie replied to CentralSports's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
That game didn't count as a district game. Danville has yet to play a real district game. I still wouldn't want to be the team to draw Danville first round of District at there place. Lincoln got Danville on Tuesday. -
Yep, Danville had the lead and took some terrible shots and silly turnovers. DCA with that size could give some teams fits. #22 for DCA is a stud, had 24 points 13 rebs and the 6'11 kid had 15 points 19rebs and 5blocks. I can tell you this any team that has any size will give Danville trouble. They are so small. Looks like they play 5 guards. DCA outrebounded the Ads by 20 plus.

Boyle County 43 Lincoln County 40

It's safe to say that Luke Imfeld is the best player in the 12th region. What he has done for Boyle County this year is just crazy! With What Boyle lost and what Lincoln gained in transfers nobody would've thought Boyle could beat Lincoln County. Tarter is the unsung hero for the rebels, kid gives his all every play. Never takes a play off. -
You have talked down on kids that tranfer schools, you was the main one complaining about kids leaving Lincoln County to play baseball at Danville, and kids leaving Lincoln to play football elsewhere, because parents thought it was the best thing to do for there kid. Tables changed quickly now you're talking about moving your kid elsewhere.
-
I thought you was Lincoln County to the end? So if they don't hire somebody you like you will move your son. Smh
-
Wouldn't it be cool to see Josh Jaggers as the head coach and Jerry Perry as his defensive coordinator.
-
Josh Jaggers would be the best hire. Believe me Josh would get more kids to come out and play. A couple of the kids that helped win the last middle school championship at Lincoln are not playing including the best player Thaden Garr.

Lincoln County 64 Bowling Green 62

Didn't realize how young Bowling Green was. Mostly Freshman and Sophomores. -
Ashland Blazer 63 Lincoln County 54

Was Ashland full strength? -
Jarius Bryant led Danville in scoring with 24. Danville went 3-0 in the Cumberland falls classic. Pulaski County also went 3-0. Danville seems to be playing great basketball right before District starts next week.

You are correct, I'm saying if they do happen to run into Covington Catholic or Ballard I don't think they can beat them. -

Danville wins in the Cumberland falls classic. I've watched a few games the last couple of days. Really good tournament. Danville was led in scoring by Senior Dontae Hayden with 34, Demariah Brown had 17 and Jaylen Dunn had 16. Danville about gave the lead away late in the 4th up by 8 with 3 straight turnovers. Clutch free throws by Hayden closed it out. Danville freshman Hill and Brown are going to give coaches nightmares the next 3 years. They can play!
