  1. FS scored in the first OT was going to go for 2 but had a delay of game. To me that was their chance to win because they weren´t keeping glasgow out of the end zone. At the point Glasgow offense was clicking.
  2. All teams that pull out the playoffs, the next year then need to be forced to go non-district. Or like you said go non-district before the season.
  3. I would say the majority of programs, who are off from school fall break, probably take the week off practice. Mostly because I would say families take vacations, and not the kids fault they are not in town to practice.
  4. You are 100% correct, I´m sure the CAL, Trinity, St. X, etc. have backup special teams players who would star at other places. And I´m sure those schools have a backup QB who could start at 95% of the schools in the state. My guess would be in the near future they will give the one free transfer.
  5. You could also make the case about Louisville Central. Their last state championship team they ran the ball 75 percent of the time. Ashland ran it 80 percent of the time when they won the state championship.
  6. I´m thinking week 5, not 100 percent sure though
  7. Lawrence, assuming they win district 8, will have the play losing team between Bell and Rock in 2nd round.
  8. Lex catholic moving over to the west could switch things up a bit. The 3rd round has been CAL and Central based on RPI. Central plays a killer schedule and typically loses some games so they are always 4th seed in west. Which allowed for district 1 and 2 to match up in Regional championship. Lex Catholic who has already beat Boyle County could get the 2 or 3 seed assuming CAL is the 1 seed. Lex Catholic has LCA, Great Crossing, and Ashland all left out of district who would be good RPI games. Plus they also have Bardstown who I would think finishes at worse 8-2. Now if Murray and Glasgow go 10-0 they might be able jump Lex Catholic in RPI. Also, Murray beat Union County last year in the regular season.
  9. Stoney is a very good coach and has won games at places that have not had much success. If he is able to keep the players at Danville they will be much improved.
  10. If true I would say Caverna is the favorite to win region, and the Favorite to win the Class A state championship. With that said I am assuming the Martin twins and Carine are staying?
  11. If the guys return would be a very good job for a year. IMO the best team in the region IF those guys return. I would say they also can make some noise in Class A state as well.
  12. If Battle Ground is on the level of CAL I agree that is a for sure L. Meade, Hart, and John will all be tough games, but they are games Taylor should have a chance to win. Taylor was very young last year, and the QB missed the entire season. I look for them to be much improved this year.
  13. I think Taylor wins district, and not out of the question going 10-0. Not sure about the first team they play, but the others they should have a chance to win I would think.
  14. I agree Etown has the potential in those younger classes to really be good.
  15. I would say 5: LaRue, Nelson, Marion, and Metcalfe I would say they should win. Maybe they can sneak up on someone else.
  16. Beat Monroe 21-6 this past season. Glasgow should be improved as they return the majority of their starters. If Clay is as good as last year it could be good ball game. I agree they will have trouble matching Glasgow speed.
  17. I say change the by-law, and let kids transfer. First, no need to have a by-law that isn't going to be enforced anyway. Second, no need to punish the 1 kid out of 10 that isn't deemed eligible. My solution would be 1 free transfer once they enter the 9th grade.
  18. I thought Barker did an excellent job with them last year. Caverna probably have the best starting 5 in the region IMO.
  19. Never understood why they split Nelson County in the first place.
  20. If they can keep the talent they will be fine very soon.
  21. Where did they transfer to?
  22. Pikeville by 2 scores, played a much harder schedule.
