I agree. It actually helps that they're moving up in class to 4A.

Usually moving up is not a cause for optimism, but E-Town is getting out of a district with CAL and Central in favor of one with JH, Nelson, Taylor, and Marion.

No slight intended to those schools, but the Panthers had their brains beat out by CAL and Central. And it will add some extra heat to the E-Town/JH rivalry.

So what is the ceiling this year from E-town. 4/5 wins or more?

Will be young again this year, but there is talent in the 9th and 10th grade group. Just gotta be patient while Mattingly gets them ready for Friday nights.

I would say 5: LaRue, Nelson, Marion, and Metcalfe I would say they should win. Maybe they can sneak up on someone else.

Agree with this. Maybe they steal one from Central Hardin if they don't get their act together in the off season. They will be very young again this year but some of the time their freshmen got at the varsity level last season will start to pay off this season or the next. They started 7 freshmen in their playoff game last yr.

Their MS program won the conference championship last season and they have a very solid youth program now that is in it's 3rd or 4th year. The more that develops they better they will get.

Also, a couple of young players to keep an eye on for this season are Jace Hagy and Antonio Kinzer. Both of these guys were major contributors last season as freshmen. They are going to be tough to handle the next 3 yrs.

I agree Etown has the potential in those younger classes to really be good.
