I was more in touch with this program than you were on so many levels. I've sat next to you at games without you knowing it to hear you bash him. Your issues with Mattingly were personal, period! The reality is this. Mattingly got more out of average players than most. He won more games and did more behind the scenes for CH than most. You may not like the guy, but you cannot deny what he has done. Central will not achieve the same level of playoff success in the near or distant future.

With the upgrades in facilities and some moderate success over the last 5 years, you would think this would be a decent job. Wonder what the hang up is?

6-7 potential wins on this schedule, but with a program that is tanking with no leadership, .500 would be win at this point. Likely 3rd in the district.

Good luck to coach Lewis! Hopefully he get them on the right track.

With a new coach who had success at Ballard beating the mighty Rocks, can he get some excitement going at a school that should be more successful than they have been in the past?

Will be young again this year, but there is talent in the 9th and 10th grade group. Just gotta be patient while Mattingly gets them ready for Friday nights.

Ummm...your first suggestion will not be an option by anyone associated with Central Hardin including players or admin for more reasons than I could ever begin to list! lol

Hill is a tough job. County has done a great job over the last 20 years establishing dominance in FC. They have consistently pulled players (legally) from Frankfort High and most kids coming through the youth league/MS gravitate to the East side. Best of luck whomever gets it.

The first guess is correct. The others just share a last name, not relation. Well done!

Have known Coach D for a while now. He's a classy guy who loves the game and his players. Top shelf in my book!

A first year assistant on staff (who is also a parent of a senior player) worked behind the scenes to get Coach Stockdale fired. He used his influence with the super, made unfounded claims, and ultimately she lacks a spine and despises confrontation. This is a terrible job until the current super is gone. Hate this for a guy who moved his family, brought 8 coaches, and was invested in the kids. Tough break for the program.

Good luck to coach and PHS!

Good luck to the new coach and the Red Devils!

Best of luck!
