"A new coach" as in a new coach on the assistant coaching staff? Or are you saying that you're hearing Simon Vanderpool is out and has been replaced with someone else at Western Hills?

Was the job open?  And who are you hearing is the new coach?

Hearing Vanderpool is leaving and new Coach has been named....  Haven't seen the job posted, but have heard from several sources it will be announced at banquet.

Could it be Coach Paul Rains? He is also on staff and has head coaching experiencing.

Where is Vanderpool going?

That's likely why JuJu Harmon left to go back to Georgetown... His dad was an assistant on that staff. I thought that was an odd move at first, now it makes sense.

Vanderpool just announced his resignation on Facebook, per his account.

From what I have gathered, Juju left because of some dissatisfaction within the program from a coaching stand point. Around a month ago, his father and Coach Jim McKee had a conversation and made amends. I’m not sure how long the HC at western hills had made his players aware of his decision, but this move back to the County had been in the works for a bit.

The word is Pete Combs is the next Head Coach.  Was an assistant Coach in the program.

Per Coach Vanderpool, Pete Combs is currently the interim head coach at Western Hills. He spoke really highly of Coach Combs, so it sounds like he hopes Combs will eventually end up with the nod as head coach rather than just "interim."

Any news here? Is Combs the guy or has it been opened up for applications?

Big loss for Western Hills. I believe Coach Vanderpool was building something.

Western Hills should do a search.
