Meade County released their schedule today and they show a game at South Warren on Oct 17 rather than hosting Central Hardin, and they show a game at Central Hardin on Oct 3.

6-7 potential wins on this schedule, but with a program that is tanking with no leadership, .500 would be win at this point. Likely 3rd in the district.

Central Hardin enters the 2025 Season with a new coach in Lance Gregory, after coach Phillip Stockdale was let go after one season as head coach of the Bruins. Coach Gregory has ties to Hardin County. Gregory came to Graves County in 2009 from John Hardin High School after five years as that school’s defensive coordinator.

There's a new coach, new system and new season ahead of the Central Hardin football program. The Bruins will be stepping away from years of option and wing-T offensive playbooks to implement a spread-style scheme. Gregory said the plan is to play no-huddle and high tempo. This would be the first time this style of offense has been run at Central Hardin since Mark Perry was at the helm for the Bruins in 2013.

Gone are RB Jaxon Engstrand and FB Seth Laudermilt. Retuning at the QB position and still battling for the starting position are the following: Caleb Irwin, Trey Dalton, and Caleb Wilson.

Other Key players returning from last season are: RB Gage Gergley, TE Cannon Elmore, 6'5" 325# C/DE Carson Lamothe, OG/DT Zakkary Barzee, and OG/DT Marco Lopez.

With a more friendly schedule this season and a proven coach who knows how to win, whether it was at John Hardin or Graves County, Central Hardin starts the season with a nucleus of its team back from last season and an opportunity to improve on last season's record.

I think the Bruins can finish 6-4 with CAL and South Warren being their toughest games. Central Hardin will get a look at South Warren in a scrimmage on the 15th of August.
