Open Job: Daviess County

Looks like there’s a second job open in the city of Owensboro with the Daviess County job open for the 2nd time in two seasons! Too me I think that job is perfect for someone like Will Barnes!

As I said in the Owensboro thread DC is one more bad hire away from being a complete dumpster fire. I think there are two guys who would make for a great hire. Will Barnes a legacy at Daviess county and Q Wallace former defensive coordinator.

Will Barnes would be a no brainer to me with his ties to the DC program.

I think either would be a good fit, Wallace has  a relationship players on the roster is the one point that sticks out.

If I’m Daviess County I look for a proven leader. I would try and get McLean County’s coach.

This is not a job I would want to take, the latest coach, who had a pedigree to build a program, was fired by the administration. I would not place my name in the hat for DC if I wanted to build a program with support from the administration.

I have heard this too Zebra. I hope we hire him at OHS. If he does not get the Head Coaching Job I would like to see him on staff.

Awfully quiet here! Interested to see if DC decides to go after Zach Wagner again this time around like they did last offseason! IMO he’s one of the most underrated coaches in the area.

I agree. If I’m DC when do they offer it to him?

I’ve heard through the grapevine something in athletics potentially next year could open up but who knows! If I’m Wagner though I’m not sure I leave what I’ve got at McLean though for DC right now being that he will have probably his best senior class to date in his time at McLean County!

I think they will go with an asst coach. I have heard some rumors of the younger coaches that were on the sidelines this year.
