If Owensboro is having trouble finding their coach, I can only imagine the whirlwind County is dealing with at the moment.

Does anyone have anything on this job. It has been very very quiet? I don't have a dog in this fight but do we need to track the days? I believe this thread started in Dec. 22. It has been over 60 + days since DCHS had a Coach. Who is it going to be?

At this point, the delay in hiring a head coach is doing real damage to the program. Offseason workouts, weight training, and player development are already well underway at most schools, and every day without leadership puts the team further behind. Players need structure, a vision, and a culture to buy into. Without a coach in place, how can they establish expectations, build team chemistry, or even start planning for next season? The longer this drags on, the harder it will be to recover—not just for this season, but for the long-term health of the program.

I’m just glad we found our coach at Owensboro. Good Luck to DC on their coaching search.

With the upgrades in facilities and some moderate success over the last 5 years, you would think this would be a decent job. Wonder what the hang up is?

@jester270 I know when we were in the process of hiring and I believe we got a great Coach, but nobody informed us or told us anything. Are they telling you guys anything at DC?

We have little insight about what is going on. Hopefully they hire a candidate with a lot of experience who can get us back on track. However, I do not think this is an attractive job for anyone who has had great success.

With the uncertainty at DC, I wonder if any football players will make their way cross-town to Owensboro Senior and be apart of something potentially special.  O has the skill players but definitely needs some lineman on both sides of the ball.  Muster from Catholic look to have already transferred to O - huge athletic lineman.

If they do transfer hopefully the AD let's them.  He’s  been known to block kids transferring out and making them sit out. But he will accept all!  Heard a quit kid basketball 5 games in at DC to start training for baseball and he tried to block that. This in in his own school!!

Supposedly there’s a rule in their sports handbook that says if you leave one sport to start another you are not aloud!!
