I think Adair is #1 by a pretty good distance. LaRue, Caverna, and Green seem to all be neck and neck. North, Central, and Etown could get some guys in to lift them. The wildcard is Taylor County and who they end up hiring. If it's Gatewood I'm sure he isn't coming solo.

If Coach Irvin was pushed out I would assume they knew they had Gatewood locked up imo.

I would think Russellville would mutually agree not to play that game IMO.

I always thought the Russell County job had/has potential. Being the only school in the city/county is a positive as it is much easier to get things done. However, Russell County district with Boyle, Taylor, Wayne, and Lincoln is rough. If you do beat 3 of the 4 you get Corbin first round of playoffs.

I agree have to avoid Pikeville in Semifinals, and I believe they make the championship.

Washington/ Adair and the Larue/Etown will be very good 1st round matchups.

With schools have different fall breaks and with scheduling not sure that would be possible.

Without question!!! I think the issue is players' families going on vacation during fall break. As a coach do you practice with 10-20 kids showing up? What do you get out of a practice with over half your team not there? As Coach Preston said I have no dog in this fight. I just think that is silly to hold against him because it is common practice in very successful programs. I would guess 3/4 of coaches try to get the open week and fall break the same week.

Did they have a game that week? I know several schools that take fall break week off if they don't have a game.

Adair has been the best team in the Region so far IMO. Larue started 2-4 but since then has been very impressive. Will be a barn burner in Russell County.

When it's all said and done LaRue will probably have top 5 toughest schedule in 3A.

To me FD was the best team in the state last year. I know it was early in the season but BE did lose to Spencer County. And Boyle´s win over BG was close to say margin as FD beat them by. I know comparing scores gets iffy at best. Not saying Boyle could win 6A but I believe they would be in the mix. And a yeah then the big 3 of X,T, and Male were not a dominated as in recent years.

You don´t think Boyle could have won 6A this past year?

Boyle County was one of the teams that came to mind when I was talking about a team winning multiple championships. Boyle could play up to 6A and be a factor or even win it.

Unless your a team whose won multiple titles I can not buy your playing up to challenge yourself. Now I could buy some guys playing up for travel purposes. If you have schools within an hour drive in the same classification no need to move up IMO.

Great research, I admit I never look very closely at the logo. I do remember when they used EKU logo, I knew they switched a few times. Is there a process that a school must go through to switch a logo?

I would think Trigg would fight with Union for the district championship.

I can remember back to the mid-90´s and Caverna has always used that logo.

Very tough schedule I would say 7-3 would be an excellent season. I would have loved for them to be playing Campbellsville as well.

But on the other hand it values weaker out of state competition though. The best team from Texas and the worse team from Maine have the same RPI rating. So it actually helps the low level teams, who play bad teams it gives them a solid RPI boast.

I was shocked Etown elected to play down. Once Central made it known they planned to stay in 3A Bardstown had their mind made up. Yes that 4A district 1 is good, but I don't believe they are better year in and year out that CAL or Central.
