Battle of Elkhorn Creek
Aug 22 at Scott County
Franklin County vs. Great Crossing
Scott County vs. ??

Franklin County has released their 2025 schedule and they're showing a game against Great Crossing on August 22nd. Madison Southern played Great Crossing last year in this bowl, and Madison Southern's athletic department schedule currently shows their football team with a "??" opponent for August 22nd, so I'm not sure if that means they begged out on the 2025 edition of the Battle Of Elkhorn Creek and haven't found someone to play that week yet, or if they just haven't officially gotten word on which team they're playing.

Forcht Bank Bowl
Aug 22 at Campbellsville High School
Campbellsville vs. Caverna

Last year's Forcht Bank Bowl also included Ballard, North Hardin, Owen County, South Warren and Southwestern. That was the second year playing in the bowl for all five of those teams, so I'm assuming that there's a good chance it will be a new group competing. The last two years were also the first time we saw three games in the Forcht Bank Bowl instead of just two.

As I understand it, Glasgow and Barren County are going together on a bowl game for the 2025/2026 cycle that will be hosted at Barren County in 2025 and at Glasgow in 2026. I'm assuming they're combining efforts and sponsorship resources from the Barren County Bowl and the Scottie Bowl.

I'm not sure whether this is intended to be a completely new bowl with a new name, or if instead they're intending to play the Barren County Bowl in 2025 with the Scottie Bowl on hold for a year, and then put the Barren County Bowl on hold in 2026 when they play the Scottie Bowl with the same set of sponsors.

Any idea who they are playing.

Glasgow plays Clay County (TN), but I'm not sure who Barren County has.

I think Clay Co has been pretty good recently.

Coach McKee while being interviewed in preparation for Scott Co. vs Franklin Co. last season, mentioned this years game. “I think next year we play Clark”

I assume that means GRC. We’ll see, Scott county usually releases their schedule in May so it may be a while.

They have been.  In ‘22 they were the Class A Runner-Up down in Tennessee. I don’t think they will remotely be able to match up anywhere on the field with Glasgow, though, especially in the speed department.

Friday nights in Celina, TN have been much, much better than what they were previously accustomed to prior to 2016-2017 or so, though.

For the Pike County Bowl, I believe East Ridge is the last team looking for an opponent.

August 29
Martin County vs. Pike County Central - 6:00pm (unsure of location)
Cabell Midland (WV) at Pikeville - 8:30pm
Central at Belfry - 8:30pm

Mingua Beef Jerky Bowl
Aug 22 at Henry Clay
Collins vs. Lafayette - 6:00pm
Henry Clay vs. ?? - 8:30pm

Henry Clay is playing North Oldham.

The schedule released by Collins showed Collins playing Lafayette at Henry Clay at 6:00pm, and the schedule released by Henry Clay showed Henry Clay playing North Oldham at Lafayette at 6:00pm. Henry Clay and Lafayette switched off locations for the Migua Beef Jerky Bowl the last couple of years and Lafayette hosted in 2024, which would presumably make this a Henry Clay year, but I guess we'll have to wait for some clarification here.
