EKY_Football
As for the 2020 Pike County Bowl, not sure about who will be playing in all four of the games yet but I do know one of the games: Mingo Central (WV) vs Belfry Aug. 28th 2020 at CAM Stadium I'll post the other game at Belfry that night and the two that will be played in Pikeville the following night once the full schedule is released. (Sorry for the incompleteness of the 2020 Pike County Bowl schedule but that's all that's been put out so far.)
newarkcatholicfan
I really wish it was possible to go back to the county teams not playing each other. Two games on Friday and 4 on Sat could work.

newarkcatholicfan
The Pike County Bowl. Sorry about that.
EKY_Football
Yeah, I agree. But I think their trying to get away from that. Last year Belfry played LCA and Pikeville played Mingo Central. This year Belfry plays Mingo Central and I'd bet the Panthers won't be playing a county team either. Their doing a better job of not doing that. newarkcatholicfan
Belfry nor Pikeville does but the other four always get grouped together (almost always) and that what makes the bowl game a little dull.

It does seem that way my friend. But you have to look, it is the Pike County Bowl and it was originally set up for only Pike County teams so that all the proceeds would stay in the county. So I kinda see their point of view as well as to trying to keep as many county teams as possible in the bowl.

I was fortunate enough to speak to several of the Pike County Bowl committee on year, at Belfry high school and have nothing but respect for them and the effort they put into the games. After speaking to them I understand why the format is the way it is.

After speaking to them I understand why the format is the way it is. Yeah, they've done a pretty good job. The PCB will be in its 36th year this fall and has raised over $850,000 for the Pike County school system over the years. At least that's what the news reported last PCB. So if that number is wrong its not my fault. Lol
