Saban and Spurrier failed in the NFL but high school guys could do it? Of all listed Smith would be the closest because of his experience at UK, but the NFL would swallow the average high school coach. Totally different kind of football. Totally different job too. Have to know how to handle a 26 year old all pro that makes 3-4 times as much as you do. Most high school guys that go straight to HC or coordinator in major college football don't work out great. Most high school guys are not Gus Malzahn.

Great game, caught it online. Have to respect the way Paintsville plays. Hard nosed, physical. Credit their kids, coaches and community. If there is a better player in KY than Kash, I haven't seen them (though I only see the players we play or have played against). Took the game upon his shoulders and simply refused to lose. Pikeville played hard as well. Both teams have an excellent shot of having outstanding seasons. Best of luck to both.

Time constraints is why. The 2nd night of the grid has 3 games, and most years you can't start play early enough due to the heat index. For most teams, the quarter of running clock JV is more than enough, as JV regular season games are about growth and experience, which is similar to a scrimmage.

Any school that will allow you full control as in who you can hire (with a teaching job) is a keeper. 10 year contract? Where can I sign up? Don't want to pick any of the schools, as I don't know much about many of the schools/areas listed. But with the guarantees listed above, I'd take a chance at any of them.

UK doesn't have the overall numbers of Bama, but they've put numerous players in the pros over the last few years. To be honest when you look at the numbers they may do a better job of preparing players than Bama does.

I think if a player made a decision only based on a championship possibility he may be miserable for four years. Have to take everything into consideration. Like Clyde said, if that was the only factor no one would ever get someone Saban or Meyer wanted.

I don't see how playing for your in state school, in the SEC, could ever be a mistake. There are a lot of things that UK or Louisville can offer that no one else can. Big time football, close to home, chance to play early. It's about what's most important to him. If that's winning a National Championship, he should wait for an offer from OSU, Bama, etc. With UK and USCe being his final two that doesn't seem to be most important. He'll choose the best fit for him, or at least I hope he does. UK, USCe, or someone else.

Perhaps Single A should play by different rules. There is a huge discrepancy between the 1s and 4s at that level. I don't think it's necessary in 3-6A. Plenty of 3 and 4 seeds win games, and many games are competitive across the state. Maybe the 3s and 4s don't win, but they're not getting humiliated.

OR, I don't disagree with what you said. Just said that the idea that because the kids were from WV made it worse. I don't agree with that. It shouldn't matter where they're from if was is reported is true.

How are instate transfers different than out of state? If they were provided what was alleged to have been given at Fairview to move from one county to the next how would that be different? Just because one kid is in state and another is out makes no difference. Now if you're saying that kids move schools legitimately in our area, and what happened at Fairview wasn't legit I can buy that. But, the fact that the kids were from WV shouldn't make a difference.
