Team Camps

Featured Replies

I know this has been discussed previously, but does KHSAA allow their schools to participate in team camps either in state or out of state?

They should if they want to keep up with the states surrounding them.

Yes.

Which schools offer team camps?

Morehead, EKU and GTown all offer very fairly priced camps. We're going to MSUs this year.

West Georgia has two good team camps coming up the second half of July if you're looking for some different competition.

Campbellsville University. WKU.

Seems like I've heard of some from KY going to TN Tech, too.

Some still go to 4H type camp sites for camp to rough it just a bit.

Something else that is rather new, but high schools hosting camps. Turns out to be a pretty good fundraiser for the host school (if you are able to find enough parents to help work it, such as preparing meals and what not).

Ends up being a win-win for both the host school (fundraiser, charging per camper like the universities do) and the school attending camp gets to go without having to break the bank.

Lexington Catholic has been attending EKU camp for the last few season. Prior to that they went to Georgetown College. I suppose its a good way to bond with teammates living in an atmosphere like that for a few days. I am all for it.
