West Carter 49 East Carter 13

The West group of seniors are really talented, they jumped on East early and didn't look back. East was dominated by a great Comet team that I believe will be hosting a playoff game this year. See you all next year!

As for East they just looked uninspired after West scored the first two touchdowns. They're gonna have to get better up front if they wanna be able to win more games. You can tell what kids wanna tackle and those who don't.

Ford looked good again, scoring once before they JV kids were put in then he scored another. He's only a sophomore who runs hard, and will get faster. On to Fairview next week!

Another random note if Wests secondary can match the defensive intensity that the front 7 has I believe they can truly win the district. Good luck to you guys all year!

Running Clock as predicted!

West 91 East 19 the past two years and West has only attempted six passes.

West Carter has the best sophomore back period.

Maybe East can start the new beginning next year.

Congrats on the win. See you guys next year. I'll argue with you all day about the sophomore back though. Wests line was just much better than Easts, but Peyton isn't better than Ford. He was better tonight, we will see how much better he is without the threat of big brother to break it on every play.

Which soph had 7 carries for 165 yards? The east soph RB has run the ball good the last 2 games as soon as the clock started running. West kept running the same play over and over, didn't look like the east DC made any adjustments. The defensive scheme looks like something a middle school would run. On to fairview and running clock # 3 .....

Congrats on the win and good luck the rest of your season. You all have one of your best teams in school history. Your sophomore back was better last night has a better team around him this year. We will see next year, hopefully Champlin can continue to build something here so the rivalry will be more competitive than it has the past two years. It's only year one of a job he's had since late January so it's gonna be a process, I was probably too optimistic about this season but you gotta have some confidence. Again good luck to you guys and hope you represent the county well!

"I was probably to optimistic" ....quote of the year. Keep drinking the cool aid and wearing your battle for the barrel t shirt. He may not of had the players but coach moore's defensive scheme was much, much better than the current DC. West Carter was happy when coach Moore left because of his ability to game plan and scheme.

I don't see the running clock on Fairview. West may win that game but the Eagles will put up points. Their offense is very explosive and they have in my opinion the best QB in the area regardless of size of school. Oh and I am a Raceland guy not Fairview.

West and Fairveiw do not even play this year. I believe he was indicating that Fairveiw will beat East very badly and East will suffer its third running clock of the season.

Guess that's what happens when Raceland guys get to excited about Fairveiw Football... lol

It's year one of his career in his first head coaching job? Yes Moore was an excellent defensive-minded coach, I played for him I would know when I finished my last two years of HS with the barrel.

I don't understand why you're calling it "drinking the cool aid", it's year one of a rebuilding project. Not even rebuilding, a building project. Everyone has to "drink the cool aid" as you're calling it, you have to buy in. Players, coaches, fans and community. That will be the way to get the best athletes to play. The best athletes at East haven't been playing football lately. They're playing at West and that's good for you guys. East is going to have to get their best athletes out if they want to remain ahead in the alltime series. Good luck the rest of this season!

Btw they sold those shirts to West too, it was to benefit the Carter County Special Olympics group.

I misunderstood I apologize. I don't know who is on their schedule I just know I watched them play.

I didn't say anything about Champlin the HC, I said the DC.

Cory Jones is in his first year as a defensive coordinator as well. Champlin I believe was the Dcoordinator last year, the two are both extremely young coaches. Both came from Fairview.

I do agree that Moore was probably the best defensive mind in the area. Reason why a lot of games weren't blowouts

West has a good special teams coach in Daniel Barker, coached at East first played at West though. He can get crazy over special teams
