I realy like both of these kids, but if these stats. were reversed Zeke would be considered the next Tim Tebow. Hightchew is probably the most underated QB in Northern Ky. Great game by the whole NCC team and coaching staff.

59% completion rate with a lot of drops wasn't bad for a sophmore. 11 ints. and a ton of bad snaps killed them too. last years experience should realy help this teem.

Could someone post the passing % and the yards per rush for all these QB's. Maybe that would clear some things up. (no excuses please , just facts)

From watching last season, whoever plays QB better have some good wheels. 4 wide outs, and 5 on 8 blocking scemes don't give much time to get experience at that position. I think the line play will be much quicker, and stronger than last year, with a couple of these kids being excellent pullers. The defense should be awsome.

Was it againt the rules for Kinmon to stay coaching with the admin. job , or did he just bail out?

Maybe they just shorten the quarters to 2 min., or better yet just have a coin toss. That way every school has a chance to say they are the best in the state. Honestly if I'm one of the smaller Class A teems, and get up on, say Holmes by 8 plus or minus in the 3rd by some fluke, I'll try to end the game there (run out the clock).That way the worst(talent) can beat the best. ie coin toss. A 45 second clock could get each teem about 20 posesstions per game. What you do with them is up to your SKILL level.Maybe time of posestion should be kept to see who wins the game.

So you think it would be good to watch a game with 2 teems playing the 8 min. shot clock? How does dribbling the ball at half court prepare a kid for the next level? The shot clock is a hugh neccesity to help kids play basketball. If you don't want to see many shots at the goal possibly Soccer is your sport.

The 9th seems to be the lowest scoring region in the state. Playing at BOK arena with its strobe light effect billboards flashing light off the court may be effecting the 3's.(though not for Holmes tonight) Does Rupp have flashing lights shinning on their court?

After reviewing Shot-doc's pros & cons Utter would be a fool to stay. Go ahead and let the not-nieve AD , Boosters, and School Board pick between Billy Donavan , Rick Pitino, and all the other great coaches fight for this gem of a job.

I don't know why this thread has lasted so long. Coach Utter is the obvious choice. He may be the best young coach in the state, and if Grant County lets him get away they'll be kicking themselves in the but when they see him realize his potential somwhere else.Give him a bench full of kids with 6-7 years of AAU experience, and you'll get your W's.

I watched the replay (what nk.sports had) last night . The sophmore quaterback is the last of NCC's problems. Every pass I saw was on target, or at least more close than half of the snaps from center. I can't see where any of the QBs I've seen this year could have done any better. The schedule this year has to have these kids down. I played on a small school team against these same big schools, and never left the field. Every time you look up there is a big kid with a clean jersey. Thier roster ,for what it's worth features 17 wide recievers out of the 32+or- that dress (aren't hurt).That doesn't leave much room for other players(linemen, linebackers). They loose more kids to other programs now than ever to Campbell County, Brossart, and even Caketown(yes even Highlands, they don't realize they'll be benchwarming behind the big recruits) Nice game Ryle Raiders.You are one of my favorite teams, as anyone playing the Cake Eaters is

Realy now! Totally different higher level , you must mean 6A school with a 70 man roster ,playing a 2A school with 30 kids playing. I'm thinking Cooper is the only school in Boone County that doesn't lose this weekend. Good luck to both teams, I have family on both sides of the ball in this game.

Miles Simpson is a great runner , but Simon Kenton is also a great team. Lawrence has centainly proved himself at QB , and as a leader. The linebackers are very good , and Mr.Hansel is a hand full for anyone. This team wins with or without Miles. Without Chad Lawrence?????

If Newcath can control the tempo in this game , and not shoot themselves in the foot they have a great chance to pull this one out.
