  1. I hope Beechwood puts one on them, but Rash won't run it up. Running clock by halftime
  2. Holy Cross will win this game easily, but they need to work on suring up things on both sides of the ball. They need to find a run game and not pass 60times a game. When your D is on the field 80% of the game, you are gonna start to struggle through a long season(if they are gonna make a playoff run).
  3. After seeing both teams play, Conner wins this one easily. 35-14
  4. 7 Bellevue 5 Male 3 Gallatin 2 Cooper 1 Beechwood Tb Bellevue
  5. This one wont be close. NCC by whatever Eviston wants
  6. Focus on the little things. It will get better if everyone stays together and finds the little things to stay positive about. Instead of focusing on wins and losses, focus on getting better
  7. I don't think it is coaching in this particular case. I think too much gets blamed on coaches when things go wrong. Some of the responsibility has to be on the kids to dig in and get tough. This team has the athletes, but Im not sure they have the mental toughness or field generals to get past NCC. I wish them luck, but if this trend continues it will not happen.
  8. Keeping it together means that when the other team does something well on a drive or a couple drives in a row, you don't completely lose focus and stop playing as if the sky was falling
  9. I thought BW would beat them, but not like this. One observation is this HC team starts to quit in the 2nd half of every game. They come out like gang busters and then just walk thru the motions. BW looked good last night, but the lack of effort the Indians displayed was more overwhelming to me. BW has alot of talent, but this doesn't look to be one of their best teams imo. The Tigers have 2 real games left that can test them on their schedule in CCH and NCC. The Indians better fix their effort or they will be in trouble down the stretch against everyone left on their schedule. The Indians have some athletes, but seriously need to fix their run defense and find a running game. Conner and BW ran all over them. Good Luck to both teams
  10. Towles is a better QB than Pike. Pike might be a better athlete, but his attitude hold him back. He is not an SEC QB! Dixie's defense is awful right now. If they don't fix it, it will be a long year for Dixie. If Pike doesn't start leading this team, they will have a dismal year
  11. I thought HC looked like they were gased after the 1st quarter. They came out and I thought they were going to blow Conner out. Conner did a good job of sustaining drives and chewing up clock, but HC needs to be in better shape if they think they can play a full game with good teams. Another thing I noticed was the HC players looked disinterested in playing last night. Alot of walking around and non-hustle plays. Conner didn't look more talented than HC, but they showed they wanted it more and didn't let up. That is a good sign for Conner as the season moves on. HC better find an answer other than Fuller if they plan on beating NCC or Beechwood. The DE's and LB's didn't have a good game last night for HC either. When they were fresh, they were very good. When they got tired, it looked as if they just quit. Hopefully Koz can get more out of them and get them in better shape. Good win for Conner. That QB is going to be great as he matures
  12. I think this will be a competitive game and either team could win, but Im giving the edge to the Indians in this one. The Pouncy controversy needs to be put to rest because I heard he hasnt been to one practice and isn't even on the roster. Supposedly, he is only interested in playing basketball.
  13. I believe it wasnt a good game to schedule one of the better teams in the area at this stage of where the program is at. There are other school that are local that would be a better match up for Dayton. Dayton doesn't need to schedule schools that are able to score 50points midway through the second quarter. Im not saying schedule cupcakes, but schedule people that you can compete with.
  14. Close game in my opinion, but Walton has a good coaching staff that have bonded together and know their kids very well, so I give them the edge
  15. No running clock in this game, but I do think Lloyd wins. Lloyd will have a much better defense this year, so I think this will be the major difference. Dayton has some nice kids, but they need more of them to be competitive weekly. Their coaching staff seems to be doing their best to get the ship heading in the right direction, despite what happened last week. That was a bad game for them to schedule, thanks to Coach Deaton. I do look for them to be competitive in a few ball games and come out with a couple wins this year
  16. This should be a good game. Cooper does have a great defensive line and some talented kids behind them. Holy Cross has some of the better skill players in Northern Kentucky. I think this game is decided by who makes the fewer mistakes. Since Holy Cross has added some good coaches to their staff and have many seniors playing on both sides of the ball, I look for them to make the fewer mistakes. I give the edge to Holy Cross in this one
  17. BW wins and it isn't gonna be close past the 2nd quarter.......imo. This is a really good Beechwood team and a really young SK team. Next year may be a different result
  18. Any news about this one??? Anyone????
  19. So your saying the coach's last year weren't as good as Pelgen. I think that is an uninformed opinion. Can you elaborate?
  20. To put Shelby that low even with Collins taking some of their stronger players is not fair. I will take a stab at it. 1. Walton Verona - key players back with some transfers. 2. Collins - Big chunk of Shelby Co is now here. 3. Anderson Co - Aren't they always tough by the end? 4/5 Grant and Oldham - Tough to choose. 6. Henry Co - pleny coming back from last year. 7. Simon Kenton - always solid 8. Shelby Co - good coaching usually finds a way 9/10 N. Oldham/Carroll - from here on out its a toss up.
  21. Ryle, Walton, Brossart and Conner tied for 3rd, Boone, Simon Kentton, St. Henry, NCC, Holy Cross, Scott and Highlands tied for 10 is just about the top 10. If Grant is included then they might slip ahead of Boone to start the season. The fun part about these polls is that no one really knows until the seasons start. How will transfers factor in? Who will have young ones that step up? Who has the biggest loss in players leaving to overcome? Some coaches have left the area and some have taken over programs, that will factor in as well. You can usually tell what a team has by the strength of their schedule.
  22. That would be intresting.
