Job no longer posted on KHSAA website. Did they name a new coach? Could it be an "Ecks" coach?

Come on already.

Well I can say that I think teaching openings is playing a major role in this...............I could be wrong but I am thinking that finding the coach that fits the teaching area is causing some delay.

Even if I was a top assistant somewhere I'd have to think long and hard before becoming the head coach at Bellevue. Too many negatives right now which is too bad for the boys.

I believe English and Math and Eckstein has been running the weight program.

I feel bad for the kids -- especially those who will be seniors -- that Bellevue administration can't pull their heads out of....well, you know....and get this thing done. They're setting these kids up for failure, especially with spring practices quickly approaching.

Why is this wait so bad? Bellevue does not do any spring practice. So I am sure they are looking toward the June as a deadline. Schools do not have allocations yet, so budgets and staffing are not finalized. Like most small schools, I am sure they want a coach in the building. They can still afford to wait a while.

Wait for what? Just because they don't have spring practice doesn't mean they can't. The kids who are not running track or playing baseball to get on the field and start learning the new coachs O. But then again how hard is buck,slam and o'lead to learn. The job was filled 4 months ago, he has been working with the kids all year. Get it over with and make the annoucement that Dave is the coach and move forward. The spring clock starts ticking on Monday for them. Use the 10 days for something,do not waist it again this year.

I don't think Bellevue has ever done spring practice (even with coach Eckstein). Also, if a new coach has a new offense/defense to install, if he worth his weight as a coach, he will have very organized and efficient practices in the summer where he can install then. Especially since most of the starters and key players will be playing baseball or running track. A good coach will have no probelm with doing this. Also how many times does everyone on here have to tell you that Eckstein is only running the weight program from what my son's friends are saying, Eckstein is not interested in the job at all!
