  1. ...Is where the playoffs should start in KY.
  2. Until you're standing on that sideline...NOT your place to question the decision.
  3. Don't ever count Coach Lickertt out. He does his homework. I'm picking NewCath.
  4. More importantly, to me if no one else; how are they doing it? And another question, How close were the Jaggers family to accomplishing it? Pretty good lineage there too.
  5. I know next years alignments are set. What chance is there that Boone Co., goes to 6A into Trinity's district to just break out of the rut that their in. Sure; you have to drive to Louisville twice but your playoff game will be in NKY. Play different teams. You can still play Conner and Cooper. Get out of Highlands and CovCath. Those games do you no good. Your troops have been depleted. The 'tradition' thing is past. Look to a new era. Just a thought.
  6. WOW...This is a really interesting game. Fantastic scheduling for both schools. Seems to me that South Warren is the story of KY Football this year where it was CovCath last year.
  7. Both teams 6-2. Out of the 12 wins between; only one of those opponents, GRC win over 4A Harrison County by 8 points, has a winning record. Maybe explains the lack of chatter.
  8. Under current rules; agreed. My only caveat is the game-conditioning of my starters for when we face equal and superior opponents. Nothing can simulate game conditions IMO.
  9. At what ever the pre-chosen number is, the question is asked of the trailing Head Coach; "Do you accept a running clock?" If it's refused and if that margin increases by another ' lesser determined' increment; the trailing Head Coach is asked again; "Do you accept a running clock?". If that margin increases, yet again, by another pre-determined increment...the clock runs.
  10. 16 game losing streak ends for the Braves. Congratulations.
  11. How did I miss this? When did Coach Starnes leave Crittenden County Football? He is one of my favorite people in High School Football.
  12. Kevin Siple is an extremely good football coach. He loves coaching football. He loves coaching kids. He is a good person.
  13. The 'long time' Coach I meant to reference was Coach Ken Barrett. Coach Nelson was Russellville's HFC, I think for six years after Coach Barrett. My apologies to both.
  14. A little surprised at the lack of positive response and nearly apathetic response for Coach Meyers. In 13 years he had one losing record; his first year after they'd had, at least, four straight losing season under long time Coach Bob Nelson. Meyers had a 6-6 in 2011 and every other season was a winning season. Russellville has compiled a 118-57 record under this man. That's impressive in this state. Just taking a cursory look at other schools records in the same period...Only Beechwood, Belfry, Bell County, Bowling Green, Boyle County, Danville, Highlands, Mayfield, Russell, Scott County, St. X and Trinity stand out with winning percentages above his tenure. There are a few others that are very close; but that's pretty good company. Congrats on a FANTASTIC run, Coach Meyers.
  15. They're the only one with the chance...Because they made it this far. Don't EVER take a Byrd lightly.
  16. I have the question; not the answer. What do you think?
