  1. HAHA! Had a feeling the stats would bring a negative response to our current playoff system. Honestly; The 'old school' part of me wishes we had to 'earn' our way in. Then I look at that six schools that were underdogs and Harlan County v Pulaski that missed by just two points and I say...Let's keep it opened up to all of us. My team got crushed 55-12. Some of us on our team felt like we had an out of mind outside chance to find a way to win.
  2. Boone 1-9, hosted...only lost by 7. Pulaski County(8-2) hosted Harlan County(4-6) only won by 2. If we're going to water it down (entering the playoffs) with six divisions, I like that nearly everyone gets a shot. AND I like that everyone gets a shot. We do it in basketball. No shame there!
  3. There is one more game to be played in the first round. This tally is after 92 games. (Counted twice and think 92 is correct.) Winning Team's point total averaged 47.45 throughout the State. Margin of victory=34.10 82 games were decided by 3 scores or more (17 points+). Ten, then were less than 3 scores. That's 89% of the games were decided by 17 or more points. The visiting team lost 76 of games and won 16 of the games=83%. I admit to not knowing strength of schedule and couldn't take it into account so out of the 16 games where the visitors won; I looked at wins & losses to determine if the 'favorite' won (better record), if it was an upset (teams with worse record won) or a tossup (same record going into the game). Out of the 16 games where the travelling team won 9x the Favorite won(Frankfort, Somerset, Collins, Greenup, Bullitt Central, PRP, Manual, Cooper, Tates Creek). 5x the Underdog won (Fairview, Washington Co. Allen County-Scottsville, Eastern, Campbell Co). There were two tossups per record. (Bell & Breathitt both 4-7 going in. Lloyd & Gallatin both 6-5. Lloyd was the Favorite in that one so 10x out of 16x the visitor won; the Favorite won=63%.)
  4. Can Holy Cross going to more Wildcat be the difference in defeating NCC? Looked VERY good vs Lloyd=42-0 at halftime.
  5. No one is EVER "ready" for his/her first Head Coaching job.
  6. Stephen Lickert is one of the best Head Coaches in NKY. Campbell County...CAMPBELL COUNTY just beat Highlands and NCC in back to back weeks. Mike Drop!!!
  7. Or is it St. X, Cincinnati? Geez.
  8. BGP says HHS is scrimmaging Trinity. Heard it was Trinity, OH instead of Louisville Trinity. True? Where is Trinity, OH??? Garfield Heights?
  9. As a D coordinator recently; I was captivated in even his pre-game drills. Never heard of him and was just astounded at what he was teaching, how he was teaching it and the results of his teachings. (Cooper crushed us.) This guy is phenomenal.
  10. I know I'm just stupid. A team goes 2-31 in 3 years under two different coaches. Everyone knows that redistricting has taken a toll. You need to re-group. Who made this schedule? Why let 'pride of past' make your kids endure a schedule like this? It doesn't make sense to me.
  11. Ben Gore is a total package coach. He's been doing this for a long time. This is a fantastic hire for Webster County. He knows both sides of the ball and has played for, coached for, coached with fantastic Head Coaches. Good luck, Ben Gore.
  12. Anybody wonder why it's so easy to work for Coach Siple? Thanks for letting me be part of what you're doing at Grant County!
  13. "I'm pretty sure Carroll County was a force out...wasn't running a modern enough offense to showcase certain player's talents." Hmmmm; Supe's son playing QB.
  14. How about each of us offers him support instead. Young, energetic, proven, knowledgeable, experienced...Let's learn from him instead.
  15. This might should be on another thread but does anyone know Coach Pardue's plans?
  16. I'll ask again. What's Boone County's schedule for the next cycle? Seems the next HC would want to know that. Does he have a chance?
  17. What does Boone County's schedule look like for the next cycle?
  18. Warren Central and Warren County administration; best coach available is an ex-employee. Ed Smart.
  19. Been there, Coach. 15 years ago and still haven't shaken it off. You and You're family are a class act. Thanks for the lesson.
  20. This is a bull crap question at this time. Let the man coach instead of worrying about the darts being thrown. He may not even be phased at all by your crap...but the kids are reading this too.
  21. Why is Jackson Co. open? They lost but were extremely competitive in nearly every game.
