Building blocks. The important thing is to keep on fighting if you're Boone County.

Have the high school coaches put a stamp on the middle school and youth leagues, stay committed the offseason and weight room, and day by day grow as a program and it will only get better. My old coach would preach "You can't dream about State without enduring the nightmare named struggle"

Great job LexCath!

I feel sorry for the Boone players, team, coaches, school, etc. It has been a long, hard road with no end in sight. Hang in there guys.

It is sad to see this once football powerhouse going through quite a few rough years. I'm assuming the redistricting did not do them any favors?

Nope, dating back to Ryle.

I couldn't remember if BC's downturn started with Ryle opening or redistricting after Cooper opened. Either way, from some BC folks I know they say BC is pretty much just a Florence area school now.

I've heard people in Florence complain since 1998 that Ryle opening killed them.

It mostly is. IMO, its beginning started with Ryle but I don't think many ever imagined it getting to the point that it's at now.
