Due to Coach Egli's hire at Montgomery County, Nelson county will now be open.

Do they have anyone on staff that may get it?

Any updates from around town? I know people must be talking about this one. Would love any insight or opinions, and to see it back at the top.

He's heading up the program in the interim. Egli is pushing for him to get it, but we'll see what NCHS has in mind soon enough on that, I guess.

This will be interesting a lot of the athletic programs in this system are floundering due to the split. It is a very tough spot! Nice facilities and one of the top areas around to live but just too many obstacles to overcome to be successful.

What obstacles are out there for them to overcome outside of the obvious creation of the new school Thomas Nelson High School? Do athletics have the support from the school, district, leadership, superintendent? etc................

Outside of the school split, the biggest issue would be the middle-school feeder program. Bloomfield MS kids go to NC, and kids at Boston and New Haven go to Thomas Nelson. Old Ky Home MS students are split, however, with some to NC and others to TNHS.

Correct on that with the BMS kids. So that's one more thing NCHS has to deal with in FB.
