The Spartans (9-0) are flying high on the heels of their decisive victory over Bowling Green. The Aces (7-2) are feeling pretty good about themselves, as well, after reeling off seven straight wins. Last year's meeting resulted in a 21-16 SW win after the Spartans fended off a late comeback attempt by OCath.

WOW...This is a really interesting game. Fantastic scheduling for both schools. Seems to me that South Warren is the story of KY Football this year where it was CovCath last year.

Looking forward to watching this one. South Warren is arguably one of the Top 3-5 teams in the state regardless of class right now and get to see them at Steele Stadium is awesome. You hear a lot about Lacy and Bush since they both are committed. Besides the QB, who are some other standout kids who can play at the next level for South Warren to look for in this one?

SW running clock. They’re just s different beast this season.

SR RB Cameron Harrison is deceptively good with Lacey and Bush getting the headlines. He's the one that made the play to change the BG game. I also think their linebackers are likely the most underrated in the State. All 3 are SRs and have played alot of games. Pete Cross, Shea and Teague. They have pretty good corners too. I don't know much about their receivers, but this year who cares. They are just good!

Thanks for the info @Purple88! What are your predictions in this one? Do you think OCath can keep it close?

ZB,

Although I have only seen the Aces in 7v7, I was impressed with their team.

That said, this isn't 7v7. For South Warren, they will not be up for this game, I don't care who says what, which is awesome for OCATH.

I think OCATH plays well and if they can establish a quick passing game, I like their chances to stay in the game in the first half. But after that, that South line just wears on you and if Lacey plays both ways along with Bush that is a tough combination to handle for anybody really. I look for South Warren to win going away. But I said they last year too and look what happened! But this South team is quite a bit better IMO. Their defense causes ALOT of short fields for their offense, if that's the case early - it's bad news for OCATH!

But this is a good test for the Aces, if they expect to hang with Mayfield. Which in Owensboro, who knows? Good luck ZB!
