Lloyd still has alot of injury problems, they played Friday without 3 defensive starters and 2 offensive starters. They will need to play the same type of game this week, control the clock on offense and dont give up the big play on defense, the only problem is I think Holy Cross has much more "big play" possibilities than Gallatin Co. Its unfortunate that Lloyd will not have everyone available for this game but I still expect everyone to pick it up and the Juggs to play like they did this last Friday, Im looking forward to a good football game!

I thing Holy Cross takes this one by at least 21. First confrence game and wanting to make some noise and sstart the run for NCC. HC.s off and def line will control the game as they run all over the place.

Holy Cross 49-12.

Lloyd will have to bring the A game for this one! Injuries are really taken the toll on this team..They will have to keep the ball on offense and keep the big play makers for Holy Cross off the field. They cannot afford to have another slow start like last week, HC will make you pay if you do.

Holy Cross 49-12.

This sounds about right.

Holy Cross will win this game easily, but they need to work on suring up things on both sides of the ball. They need to find a run game and not pass 60times a game. When your D is on the field 80% of the game, you are gonna start to struggle through a long season(if they are gonna make a playoff run).

I would agree that HC will win this game and I agree that they need to play well consistently both offensively and defensively to beat the best in NKY and go deep in the playoffs. However, I want to present some facts regarding the remainder of your post. Kyle Fuller has only passed 40 times in a game once (against Beechwood). He only had 3 passes against Dayton and averaged about 20 passes in the other 3 games. In total, he has passed 110 times for over 800 yards, 10 TDs and 6 INTs. Now the run game - Kyle himself has rushed almost 70 times for over 300 yards. The rest of the team has 70 more carries for another 450 yards. The team has 10 TDs on the ground (the same number as passing). I would say that they are pretty balanced with both a running game and passing game. HC runs a spread offense (not the traditional 1-back or 2-back PRO sets). A give to a RB in this year's HC offense is a change of pace to set up something else although Beal and Trunnell are both averaging over 5 yards per carry. However, if you have a good athlete like Kyle, you let him take off as much as possible on QB draws. Barker from Conner and Hightchew from NCC are other good examples of QBs who run well from the spread. Finally, a word about how much the defense is on the field. I know you are exaggerating about the 80%, but I believe you are partially correct in regard to a couple of the games. In the Dayton game, there was a running clock. HC struck quickly but dominated Time of Possession (TOP). In the Cooper game, HC had the ball over 50% of the time. To your point, in the Conner game, the Cougars had the ball 70% of the time (Barker had a huge game against the HC defense). Beechwood beat HC handily, but did it with a smaller TOP. Vocke had several long runs for TDs early in the Tiger possessions. It was crazy to watch. In last Friday's game, Oldham County had over 50% TOP but lost to HC 34-7. Once again, there really is not always a good correlation regarding TOP and wins/losses with a spread offense. Here are my final observations and my soapbox. HC has to be most aware of rotating players defensively...keeping them fresh. Yes, a LOT go both ways, but that is NO excuse (all teams do at the 2A and 1A levels, sometimes higher). All teams play in the rain or the heat, on the grass or the Field Turf, and on days of the week that end in "Y". HC will win consistently if they play with their hearts and don't take plays or series off. They have a lot of talent, but they let "history" get in the way of some victories (oh, we have never beat Beechwood and we never beat NCC when it matters). Let's see if Mr. Fuller is the one to do the lobotomy on this year's team. If not...then, the result will be obvious and predictable (see last 2-3 years).

Just was looking at the stats for 2A in the State of Ky. and Lloyd is ranked 2nd at giving up only 71 yards per game rushing..Not bad for a team that is 2-3. Something to think about!!

I think there maybe a mistake there. Walton rushed for 357 yards against them on 58 carries according to maxi preps. The averages of the other teams would have to be real low.
