  1. Should not have been a choice. HC coaching staff lost this game. Anyone at the game had to see that the calls made by the staff were ridiculous. Was a great game thou
  2. This was a good game by both teams but I need to say that the HC coaching staff and their love of the bunt hurt their chances of winning. I'm thinking that went to a bunting seminar and feel they need to get their money's worth from it. Good game all around by both teams.
  3. Not sure of the Dixie vs Walton scrimmage but Dixie had a scrimmage vs Holy Cross Saturday at 11:00. At Dixie football field. Caple played in that one. Not sure what the outcome was or who did what.
  4. Its a shame the class has not slipped into the minds of the NCC supporters on here. I agree and I am sure most fans would that it is easier to play on a Friday night but it isnt happening. So some class yourself.
  5. Everyone knows that going in NCC will probably win. But HC has the talent to change that, they just need to show up and play hard. Beal has been out with an ankle sprain, not sure on his return.
  6. Ok. Dont you mean HC lucked into outting it to you last year. Take the beating and go on.
  7. Everyone knew the weather report before the game, why not cancel before the game. If banged up was the case, were there a lot of injuries in the game? Sounds more like someone got their feelings hurt with the outcome.
  8. Holy Cross will correct the turn overs and win this one. Look for the defense to do well too. This will be week 4 for Trail, the bugs should be out and we will start to see good flow with qb and rcvr's. Go Indians.
  9. Something I want to add for the HC fans. This was a game that,we wanted to win for the chance at winning the division. We didnt so it pretty much knocks that out for us but as fans we need to drop that and look forward to the play off and a real good chance for a run. Trail started practicing with this team late into the season so his time with them now is basically what every other qb had with thier team before thier first game. It takes time to get comfortable with,a team and get timing down. I look for this team to really atart rolling now and into the playoffs so get behind them. We will be fine this year so just relax and enjoy.
  10. I agree with thus. Another note that I would add is if they played more nky teams they would be in the top 10 on here. They have a decent team and would beat Lloyd and Beechwood if not more of the 5-10 listed.
  11. True , but the problem for Conner is; Cooper has a great defense which they will have trouble with. Conner has a very bad defense that will make Cooper's above average offense look very good. Conner will have trouble keeping this within 2 scores. Looking forward to the outcome of this one.
  12. I have to disagree with this. I think you have to say that 6 cost them the game, 6 turnovers. You cant blame the players on this one. Trail had a good game, one int but all qbs have them, the second one at the end of the game you cant put on him. That was just a toss up trying to make something happen. I think he did a great job scrambling and making his passes, a few were dropped. Gabbard had decent game as well, a long td score and a great attempt that was broke up by a good def play. I didnt get to see every play but I think 15 for Lloyd is goibg to make a few people on def's look like they missed some plays.
  13. Good win for Lloyd. As mentioned both teams were hit by turn overs but they killed HC. How many turn overs did Lloyd have? Nice job Lloyd players.
  14. The same was said by many the year before last. And the people that said it to me were NCC guys.
  15. That statement has been true for thw last three years. You just think it was only last year because you lost.
  16. Wake up and smell teh football boys. Holy Cross is going to win this one. Its going to be a lot closer than in the past but they will get the win.
  17. 7 Highlands 5 Walton-Verona 3 Dayton 2 Ryle 1 Boone County TB Ryle
  18. Well I have to agree with a few of you. HC has to fix the defense and get the QB position showing more posotive signs for us to be competative. HC Man is correct that Lloyd has not played anyone near the compotition that HC has, so it is hard to compare the two teams. Holy Cross still has a lot of work but I think they will have the win against Lloyd this weekend. It will be a lot closer than the last few have been. The only suprise that I have had from this years team has been the QB play has not been what you would hope for. Time will heaal this I hope. Im not sure a change is needed just yet but if it doesn't improve it could be on the horizon. You have to realize that these are the same teams we played last year. All of them are better than last year other than Beechwood. I do not see this team as being to far behind last years that it can not be corrected. But this week is where it needs to begin getting fixed.
  19. They lost 8-9 defensive starters, some weeks only 8 started but the only defensive players that returned are Fisher, Herndon, Beal, Pouncy. Other players that played some, but not a ton, defense last year would be Russell, Ketron and Sullivan on the line. Where we are hurting is we need some actually a few someone's to step up at linebacker.
  20. Oldham had a very nice team and came out with a good win. Number 11 is a good football player and thier kicker is going to help them a lot this year. Congrats on the win Oldham County.
  21. The real season dont start till this week and you want to hang it up? Pouncy is play maker and I agree we need to find ways to get him the ball but he has not taken many snaps at qb in practice, would be a tough call to make in my book. It could work but it would be a hard call to make at this point. I was very impressed with the run after the catch he had towards the end of the game. It would have been nice to see him get more touches but we had issues getting rid of the ball.
