I don't know much about Oldham County, but if HC can keep it together for an entire game, they should be able to compete with many of the teams in the state regardless of class size. Im going to say HC plays a full game wins by a 9 pts or so

What constitutes "keep it together?"

Keeping it together means that when the other team does something well on a drive or a couple drives in a row, you don't completely lose focus and stop playing as if the sky was falling

Coaching?

Coaching?

I think it is a little of both...obviously the fact that they have been blown out in the second half of a couple of games could be a coaching issue but also it could be depth to. Making adjustments at half is how you can tell if a team is well coached or not.

Exactly... some of the players especially on defense tend to give up when a couple of things go the wrong way. They need to gain the mental toughness to push through adversity.

For the record I am not saying it is coaching. I was asking if that's what the poster thought the problem was.

I don't think it is coaching in this particular case. I think too much gets blamed on coaches when things go wrong. Some of the responsibility has to be on the kids to dig in and get tough. This team has the athletes, but Im not sure they have the mental toughness or field generals to get past NCC. I wish them luck, but if this trend continues it will not happen.

Agreed.

Agreed.

Agree as well. Coaching staff is top notch. They only have a handfull of kids that have been pushing every play for they whole game. Small part is stamina large part is heart.

Oldham Co. 26-24.

IMO, the HC play makers are on the field "WAY" too much. When the QB (very nice athlete) never steps off the field he has to get gassed. Perhaps there's a direct correlation to solid 1st halves and bad 2nd halves with so many mistakes. I give some credit to halftime adjustments by the opponent, but good grief those HC guy's are not supermen. Those same boy's were on Offense, Defense, and Special teams when BW was up 55-14 with "all" their 1's on the sidelines at the end of the 3rd. Heck, I'm pretty sure I even seen them working in the concession stand at halftime.

Oh well, perhaps there's a valid reason...

HC will be fine this week. Back to the friday night games, thursdays just didnt work for them. Some defensive adjustments and HC on top 28-10.
