Give us your thoughts and predictions on this game.

Two good-sized QBs in this one.

UK had the SO QB on the sidelines for the UL game and will have the Conner QB on the sidelines for the Florida game this weekend.

Not that I disagree. But why 14? Have you seen Conner play?

^I believe ColonelMike never picks against the Oldham teams. He's a homer, but that's ok. I think he picked against Conner last year as well when they went down and beat Oldham Co. I believe. I don't think he knows much about Conner. S. Oldham gives up lots of rushing yards per game and nearly 31 points a game. This bodes well for Conner imo. Should be a good one.

That's what I assumed. Just wanted to make sure that he didn't know something we didn't!:dancingpa

I only make picks based on what I know...which, unfortunately in HS football means a lot of predictions are "best guesses" due to lack of knowledge about the other team... I am an unabashed supporter of the Oldham teams, however, I'm no blind man, either. I call 'em the best I can see them.

I have not seen Conner this year - although I would ask the same of you and South Oldham - but I have seen South and I am familiar with what's coming back for Conner. I think Conner is going to have to be ready to score some points to win the game, although South's difficulties stopping the run may wall allow them to do just that.

I did see Conner last year and and if they can continue to run the ball the way they have this season, they stand a more than decent chance of defeating South. And - once again - it's all about a QB who is a talented runner who can throw effectively when need be.

I think Conner, on the other hand, has to figure out how to handle a multi-faceted South attack that features three very different backs, all of whom have speed and all of whom catch well. Plus a big, mobile QB who has a division 1 prospect at WR.

I think it's an interesting matchup, but I doubt anyone on this thread has seen both teams this season. We're all speculating based on what we know, and knocking it up against what we've read or heard...

As for Oldham vs. Conner last year...I did pick the Colonels in that game (it was the first game of the year, though, so all such "predictions" are little more than guesses)

After seeing both teams play, Conner wins this one easily. 35-14

Can we get more descriptive? Very rare to see both teams play.

I have seen both teams play due to the fact of scouting for Holy Cross. South played Oldham Co a couple weeks ago, which Holy Cross beat easily last week. South squeeked one out against Oldham Co and Conner beat Holy Cross by 3TD's, which I saw in person as well. South has some nice players, but I don't think enough to beat Conner

UK will also have a Conner"s Cameron Fogle - receiver/slot on the sidleines along with Barker.

I've heard alot of good things about this young man. Both on and off the field.

Coming from an independent observer and all I have to go on is what I have read over the past couple of weeks, I believe that South Oldham has a chance to beat Conner and win that district. I hate when people say well this team played that team and now they are playing this team, so let's give that team that beat that team by 3 TD most of the credit and they will win the game. It doesn't happen like that, it's all about match ups on the field and it's about not turning the ball over 6 times and giving the other team 6 more possessions than what you have... I will go with South on this one, in a shoot out...
