15 hours to go!

I know of a few boys team in Fayette County that are having tryouts and practice on that Thursday and Friday! That is fall break there.

I'm not counting today...3 more days!

It will be here before we know it!

On any given day anything can happen. Everyone always comes to play against Scott County (as well as Holmes) and they have to realize they can take no team they play as an easy one.....especially during tourney time!

With all the new coaches around the state, who do you think has the best chance at having a good/great first season? My vote, Damon Kelly and West Jessamine.

Why has Marquel Johnson’s name not been mentioned? (Might have misspelled it) He is one of their top scorers and will be probably be the go to guy when they need a score. Look for him to step up in his senior year.

This post has nothing to do with Coach Coldiron personally as i do not know him, but i remember seeing and hearing that the reason for firing Coach Kelly was because they wanted to go in a different direction. (sort of like with UK's coach) So they went out and hired his assistant? Any thoughts on that?

Derek Springate would be an excellent person for the job and he deserves the chance. I had the pleasure of playing against him in high school and getting to know him later in college. He loves to compete and challenge his kids. He also knows how to think outside the box when it comes to coaching. It would be nice to see him take over that program.

It looks like it typically happens in the smaller county schools. Any city schools that coaches coach two sports?

Rules are rules are rules are rules. The tech was given at the beginning of the game and according to the article they gave up a huge lead in the fourth quarter which cost them the game . To say the tech at the beginning of the game cost them the game is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Maybe next year the coaches will take a look at the rules on proper equipment before buying new uniforms!

Every city school game I have been to, I could count the fans on one hand that were cheering. I will give credit to tates creek thought because out of all the city schools they do turn out the best! :popcorn:

What if the ball is being shot when the block/charge (blarge) happens but it does not go in? As there is no team control or player control on a shot you have to go to possession arrow. If player driving to hoop has ball when blarge happens it is POI, or the offensive team keeps it. Both fouls are reported. It sucks when this happens but it does happen on both three and two man crews.

I agree...if school is canceled all games should be too!

Great win for HC. That have the athletes and the talent just need a little more experience with their young team and another scorer. Coach Brown has got the players to do well. Go Blue Devils!

Who did not see this coming....give Jay a few years at Bourbon County and he will turn that program around.

This has all come about because of Tebow in my opinion and I still say NO NO NO!

It is a point of emphasis this year to call handchecks, illegal screens and rough low post play and I am seeing this across the board and across the regions. No one likes to see tons of fouls called off the ball but it does seem the game of basketball is getting a lot more physical off ball. Most of the games i see are in the 10th and 11th and it seems the players and coaches are adjusting well. The calls made by the BBA officials in the games I have seen have not hurt the game at all but rather seem to be speeding them up a little more. Basketball in the 10th and 11th is like none other even with the emphasis.
