  1. Pretty good football game to watch, especially second-half, just came out on the wrong side of the scoreboard in this one. The 20 game winning streak is over which was built mainly by players that have already graduated. It is time for this team to establish their identity and get a winning streak started. Special teams were a huge part of the game: CPA hit a 40 yard FG in the first half and FC gave up a huge kick off return to start the second half. Those two plays in particular stand out as game changers. I agree with FC, get a couple of key injured players back and things will be fine.
  2. The secret is out, there is some fine football being played in Tompkinsville! I think FC, MC or Murray will be the last team standing in Bowling Green.
  3. Wow!! Good Luck, don't think it could be any tougher than that!
  4. Injured his knee at an out of state combine this spring. He has been in the recovery mode this summer and will return at some point this season. He is running some sprints with the trainer at practice and is still the fastest and best athlete on the team. A shame that one of the most electrifying players in the state will miss enough games that he will probably not garner any Mr. Football attention. I don't think coach Berner is going to expose him to any unneccessary risks prior to the start of the 2A district games. We expect #23 to be a huge impact for the district and playoff games.
  5. In most cases, a 6A school should handle a 1A school. This one will not even be close. Mayfield 42 Marshall 7 Sounds like a pretty close guess to me.
  6. FC wins this one by a just a couple of TDs, which will probably be the MO for much of the season. The wins will be there, but the mercy rule may not be required as in previous seasons. FC needs to make some quick corrections to an uninspiring jamboree performance. A Senior needs to step up and take over a leadership role on the team - not happened up to this point. 23 missed tackles against Christian County in one half of football - a one word description - LAZY! They should win against CPA and Kenwood, which will set up their biggest challenge in Pearl Cohn. Pearl Cohn has eight D1 prospects and is projected to face Alcoa in the TN state title game. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20100813/SPORTS07/8130363/2179/Class+3A+football+preview http://www.tennessean.com/article/20100813/SPORTS07/8130345/2179/Pearl-Cohn+likes+chances+in+3A+ Tre will not be playing in the CPA game.
  7. These must be three completely different teams compared to last season or a lot of young players were being evaluated! Here is a link to the scrimmage video; I wasn't able to dedicate much more than 15 minutes to watching it. Not as exciting as Falcon football, MC or FC!! http://www.ihigh.com/loneoak/broadcast_125687.html?silverlight=1
  8. That is a long overdue positive step for Todd County. Hopefully they can continue to improve this season.
  9. Very excited here at Fort Campbell!! We have a brand new turf surface which was used Wednesday night for practice for the very first time. We also have players taking the field that will be filling big shoes of previous players. FC will be hosting a jamboree with West Creek from Clarksville, TN and our neighbors 5A Christian County. I believe we will play each team for basically a half. Much to learn and work on as we face Nashville teams the following two Friday nights.

  11. FC will be right in the thick of the hunt come 2A playoff time. Many will find out that FC football is much bigger than Antonio Andrews, much like learning to live without Micah Johnson, only a matter of time. As long as Coach Berner is at the helm at FC, all is well in Falcon territory. In the West: FC, Murray, and Monroe County (All three have a tremendous coach at the helm and one of these three teams will be holding the trophy in Bowling Green). In the East: NCC Good Luck to All!!
  12. Good Luck to the MC Falcons! You guys really have a great thing going there in Tompkinsville.
  13. WKY: 29 So. Il: 12 Nice job by the players from WKY, they really showed up to play like it was a real game. WKY gave up a couple of pass plays in the 4th which allowed So. Il to get on the board. Antonio Andrews (Fort Campbell): 2 rushing TDs Vashun Banks (Christian County): 1 TD rushing Nick Mastrian (Fort Campbell): 60 yd fumble return for a defensive TD Jordan Benton (Murray): 35 yd field goal Really impressed with kicker Jordan Benton, big 35 yd field goal and he consistantly put the ball in the end zone on kick offs. Hope somebody has him on their college roster. Nick Mastrian broke his leg on his last trip to Murray in November, which caused him to miss the semi-final and state championship. Seven months late he takes a fumble return 60 yds to the house in the all-star game held in Murray. Awesome!

  15. Congratulations to all the fine young men that made this prestigious team!! The BGP list is the true standard of excellence! Special congrats to Antonio Andrews, Anthony Topps, & Tre Powell!! Antonio and Anthony you will be missed. Tre we can't wait to see what you will do next year, you are the best athlete at FC on a team that included Mr. Football.
  16. Congrats to Neil Wilson and Monroe County on his selection! What an outstanding player and fine young man. I wasn't able to get to him after the semi-final at Clarksville, but spoke with him at the 2A state championship as he and many other Monroe County Falcons were sitting with the FC fans. I congratulated him on his fine game from the week before and I was impressed by his respectful responses and humble personality. I wish him the best in all his future goals. FC played 15 different teams last season and Neil Wilson is the only player we faced that made me walk away from the game wishing we had "that guy" on our team!!
  17. He has a trip scheduled to WKU, but I would be surprised if he goes there. The offers from Army and Air Force would probably be accepted before WKU.
  18. I am personally frustrated by the lack of "love" from UK toward Antonio. Would really like to see Antonio and Randall Cobb on the field together, would be very exciting. UK has made many questionable calls with their offense in crucial game changing situations. Just remember the South Carolina game, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Music City Bowl from the recent season. Not going after Antonio Andrews is a continuation of the poor offensive decision making process. Antonio is a young man that refuses to lose and is capable of making teams pay for their poor decisions. Should Antonio decide to go to the 'Ville, he will not forget the snub from the Big Blue Nation. UK may need to consider taking Antonio so they don't have to play agianst him. He will not forget!
  19. He is a junior and his name is #23 Tre Powell, not only the best DB but probably the best athlete on the FC squad. In addition to duty as a DB he had 23 TDs; rushing, receiving and special teams and over 1,000 yards total offense.
  20. Mr. Football: Antonio Andrews Rees MacShara, Boyle County Neil Wilson, Monroe County Tre Powell, Fort Campbell (Junior)
