  1. Monroe in a sleeper of a game, no challenge. I hope the Falcons easy schedule doesn't come back to bite them later. FC had a cream puff schedule in 2005, went undefeated until Owensboro Catholic caught us sleeping in the playoffs.
  2. Well, we will see what happens. I will be cheering for the Eagles in all of their games. Should they win more then three, I will make a point to congratulate them and point out my under estimation. Winning three would be a huge accomplishment based upon recent past performance.
  3. Congrats Mayfield! It is always nice to see a small school whoop-up on a bigger school!
  4. Looks like MC is the team to beat in your district. You guys seem to always have an interest in Green much like FC is always tracking our good mates of Owensboro Catholic.
  5. Nice job by the Purple Flash! Great job taking the long bus trip and representing WKY.
  6. Congrats to the Trigg County Wildcats!! Wish we could get some Trigg fans to join BGP and talk up their team.
  7. Your question is true on both counts. Ft. Knox could win three this year instead of two like last year. FC has the skill and athletes, just young and sloppy on O and no head busta attitude on D. FC woulda, coulda, shoulda won this one by at least three scores. Sloppy at protecting the ball gave up multiple scores and a break-down on KO coverage gave up another score. Knox played in the same conditions as FC, was not sloppy, did not have multiple turn overs and probably played to or exceeded their potential. FC has not even come near to playing at their potential, hope they will at some point - but don't know if they will.
  8. We really can't wait to start playing 2A district / playoff football. We have a young but very talented group of kids that are learning some lessons the hard way so far. They still may have a lesson to learn with 5A Warren Central on the horizon, we will see. The attitude of the team is that they physically survived Pearl-Cohn last week with zero injuries and they played respectable against a team with a half-dozen D1 prospects on the roster. Every 2A game, has the Falcons licking their chops. Last loss to a 2A team was Trigg County in November 2006. Almost 4 years without a 2A loss; we can't wait to get started playing 2A competition.
  9. 7-Warren Central 5-Lexington Catholic 3-Trigg County 2-Adair County 1-Casey County TB-Warren Central
  10. Congrats to Christian County!! Wonder what Tandy did in this game??
  11. I am ready for FC to play some KY teams!!! The team we played tonight, Pearl-Cohn, just like last year has the best athletes we will face all year. Don't think any other KY 2A team would get past Pearl-Cohn. 6-8 legit D1 prospects on the roster, fast and physical. There were finally some positives by FC, should they continue to improve they will have an impact in their district and in the playoffs.
  12. #1 Lone Oak #2 Ft. Campbell (Only 2A team to win three in a row in the history of KY football and also 2 Mr. Football selections for this small school during the last 5 years) #3 Monroe County (A few years ago they only won 2 games in the season, followed it up with two consecutive semi-final appearances and I don't think they have hit their peak yet.)
  13. There will be nothing easy about this game for FC. Pearl-Cohn has a half-dozen D1 prospects on the roster and are coming into this game wanting to square the record after losing to FC last year in Nashville. This team had the best athletes of any team FC played last season, they were just undisciplined and didn't play as a team. I still remember the FC players using more ice bags following the Pearl-Cohn game last season then probably all other games combined. A friend of mine that watched Pearl-Cohn play last Friday said their MO is the initial tackler stands up the ball carrier and then the next hitter leaves his feet delivering a vicious hit. They blitz on 90% of their plays. The FC football players will be the ones that decide the outcome of this game. Should they choose to come out and play Falcon-Ball and realize their potential, they are more then capable of winning this game. Should they choose to be content with their three championship rings, refuse to execute, tackle, etc... it will be a long, long, painful, painful night. Destiny is in the hands of the Falcons, they are at a crossroads and will decide this Friday which way their season will go.
  14. I think Todd keeps their successful streak going this week.
  15. 7-Christian County 5-Warren Central 3-Owensboro 2-Graves County 1-Todd County Central TB-Christian County
