Homecoming ruined by the Cardinals.

Once again the Cardinals came out and took care of business early and took advantage of every Laker miscue. Running clock midway thru the 3rd qtr on as the Cards led 35-0 at the half, capped on a couple more scores early in the 3rd and then watched the JV and freshman finish it off. I don't know how many yrds the Cards ended with, but, it was well over 400, probably closer to 500. This team is gonna be hard to stop..

This really wasn't a homecoming game was it? To early in the season. Anyway who in their right mind would schedule Mayfield for a homecoming? Maybe it was your homecoming!

Congrats Mayfield! It is always nice to see a small school whoop-up on a bigger school!

:confused: Nope, it was Calloway's homecoming.

Efficient is the word here. They didn't come out sky high, as you would expect after last week's hard fought win over Paducah Tilghman, but with 14 seniors on the team; they were very business like pounding the running game while mixing in the pass just enough to keep the defense honest. Emotion goes up again this week when they play county rival, Graves Co. who were pasted by a very, very good Blue Tornado team last night.
