PT pressure on the QB had him running all night. He was really the only offensive weapon Corbin had, and in the second half he was ineffective. If a championship comes back to Paducah, it's the defense that's going to do it.

Maybe, maybe not. Mayfield has a tremendous running back every season. Last year it was a bruiser, this year more of slasher with a smaller version of a bruiser as his back up. Talking to the coaches, LCA better do their homework on the Mayfield passing game or they will be trying to play catch up, like last year. If LCA has plans to do that simply by running the pigskin, then it will be a (another) long trip back to the LEX.

I know Caldwell thinks they left some points on the field in the first matchup, driving into Mayfield territory on a handful occasions. Mayfield defense has come up big when teams are in a position to score over the last several weeks. Cardinals are mixing it up a little more now on D and that should give an improving Tigers team a little more to think about. Mayfield will get this done in one of two ways. Either throwing on the worst pass defense in 6A or having the best running back in 2A go wild. Mayfield goes over 40 points, barring a monsoon, but will give up some points too. 47-27

14-0 at halftime, but the defense could only hold them out the endzone so many times. Offensive just isn't consistent enough, but you can see they are getting closer. Mayfield plays each game this hard going forward, from first whistle to last, that raw talent will start to produce.

Which just proves they were overrated. Rankings are fun and all, but they are just someone's opinion and they've never won any team a playoff game. In a state where everyone makes the playoff, one of those Beechwood opponents made a first round playoff appearance, the other second round. ?‍♂️
