Holy hell! I thought LCA was going to win but never thought it would be this overwhelmingly. I’ve been thinking Owensboro Catholic will win 2A, but after this, my decision might be changing. Congratulations to LCA on a very impressive win and to Mayfield on an impressive season.

That doesn’t seem good. 

Hats off to LCA.

They completely dismantled the Cards. The QB was outstanding , the runners ran hard and they had a very good defense. They look like a complete team. Them or Beechwood will give OC all they can handle.

I had said all season it was OC and BW close 2nd then LCA but now...well I still say OC but a running game including your QB and a good defensive and depth...LCA has a legit shot...their non-conference schedule has prepared them very well for a deep run in the playoffs...Good season Mayfield and congrats to LCA...

Has Mayfield ever had a running clock put on them in the playoffs at War Memorial? 

I never saw it coming. 

Congrats to the Christians, if you were a reasonable fan you saw this one coming and it did. The Christians made it clear from the start and are clearly a superior team. I will say the Cards are young and should be formable for the next 2 years but this year they are clearly a work in progress. 

Mayfield may be young and inexperienced but a 40 point beatdown wasn’t on my bingo card. Congratulations to LCA for taking a long haul to War Memorial and getting straight to business.

I cannot think of one, and I've been watching games there for over 50 years.

Did D. HOOD for LCA have a impact on the game? I told you he was savy and just a sophomore wow...

I haven’t commented on Mayfield hardly at all if any this year. I knew they were super young and didn’t expect hardly anything out of this season if anything. I know the old school Mayfield guys on here talk them up no matter what but they are COMPLETELY out of touch. Any team is what they have that season. Mayfield will be VERY GOOD next year and I will be commenting a lot but this season there was nothing I could ever say that was bragging on them genuinely. Mayfield was super down this year and that’s that. Good luck to all teams….my prediction is that Beechwood beats LCA in the semifinals and they also beat OCath in the state championship. And that’s what I’ve thought all season long.

Mayfield has never had a running clock put on them period that I know of. Playoffs or not.
