I'm surprised at the number of teams that either a.) don't have a legit kicker who can kick an extra point or b.) go for two early in the game and chase points way too early. That first quarter conversion had huge consequences later in the game

Hey Scribe, what about that Ft. Campbell score vs Ft. Knox? Have you seen Ft. Campbell play this year? Are they that down or has Ft. Knox improved that much in 1 season?

I have not seen them play. Fort Knox is greatly improved. The addition of several units to Fort Knox may or may not be having an effect there. Coach Combs is also doing a good job.

 

Fort Campbell still has the talent. It's easier to replace athletes than it is intangibles. I think the loss of leadership and the lack of playmaker depth is hurting the Falcons. Of course, their best player (Tre Powell) returns sometime this month and will make a bit of a difference.

I've noticed the same thing, even in college. One would think football teams could grab some former soccer players with big boots to kick for them.

Well Scribe, got to watch the overtime replay tonight. Squeezed it in between Ala/Penn St. game and Murray State/ Semo game. Looks like the Storm scored the touchdown in overtime. I wanted to ask you after the game what you thought but you guys have a longer post game show than we do. And thats not usually the case. All in all, was a good game, hope both teams have turned around their season now.

Franklin kid is the kicker for the STorm but has a hip flexor injury and was unavailable for the game friday night. Im not going to say he would have hit a FG in overtime, but inside 30 yards he would have had a chance.

After seeing that, Im not for sure if any player has ever caught a td pass. He should have spiked it right at the Chicago player, he would have gotten a flag, but would have scored. LOL
