  1. Heard he is ready for a new challenge. Leading a school instead of just a team. He's headed to administration.
  2. It is hard for me to believe that no one has picked up on the real reason for such an alignment. When we had 4 classes there were about 50 schools complaining about being in with X and T, so we went to 6 classes instead of public/private league and there were about 30 schools complaining. Now there is only 2. Every other state surrounding Ky has a private league and a public league. This allows Ky to not have to split into two different leagues.
  3. Why would Ohio Co. or Greenwood want to play 6A football? Can anyone verify their request to play up?
  4. No offense to the previous staff but maybe this guy is a coach?
  5. Hey Scribe, what about that Ft. Campbell score vs Ft. Knox? Have you seen Ft. Campbell play this year? Are they that down or has Ft. Knox improved that much in 1 season?
  6. Congratulations to Coach Wallace. Does anyone know the active coaches that have won 200 games? What about the active coaches that have won 100 games? I know we have a few that have won 300: Dudley Hilton, Phillip Haywood and Mike Glaser. I think Sam Harp has 300 wins now as well.
  7. Courier Journal had the score the other way. Hopkins Central 16, Trigg Co. 13 in O.T. but I know you were there Scribe and surely didn't have the score incorrect. Congrats to the big Field Goal Kicker.

  11. That's why they are called pre-season rankings. They will change as the games are played. I don't really believe Southern is the worst team in 6A but that is where they are ranked. We'll see as the games are played.
  12. Where is all the Hoptown bashers? Good win for Hoptown. Congrats to Coach Jones, staff and players.

  16. He is definitely eligible to return to Danville and play. If he is not eligible at Boyle Co. then the KHSAA is saying he is eligible at Danville. They (the KHSAA) can't deny him from playing at Danville. Sam Harp can though!!!
  17. Both offensive tackles signed: Adam Stine-Campbellsville College Vincent Irivn-Lindsey Wilson College:banana:
  18. I'm not sure if anyone is aware of the success that does not exist against T and X from Kentucky public schools. As stated in the CJ article, combined they have lost only 53 games to public schools over the past 30 years and Redman won 19 of those 53 games. I would bet that there has not been another coach win more than 3 of those games (that would be a great job for our moderator "Scribe" to look up, he probably knows the answer to that one). Since 1998, the past 12 years T and X have lost only 18 games to Kentucky Public schools and 9 of those losses were to Redman. Crazy defense or whatever, he is the only one to compete against them. Nobody has beaten either team in the last 4 years from Kentucky Public Schools. THAT IS WHY HE LEFT, THE REST OF US ACCEPT IT, HE CAN NOT ACCEPT NOT COMPETING AGAINST THEM FOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. T or X has won every State Championship except 4 according to the CJ article since 1992, Redman has 3 of those 4 at Male. It's amazing what he has accomplished against those two Private Powerhouses.
  19. Devries out could be the best thing to happen to athletics in KY. No common sense decisions ever made under her leadership.
  20. First time in school history (besides during the Gibson era, 8 consecutive years) that they have had 3 consecutive winning seasons. Took over a program that won only 25 games from 2000 to 2006 and has won 22 in 3 years. Only 3 coaches in the school history have won more games. If Higgins comes back for a 4th season, he will most likely become the third winningest coach in school history behind Wally Oyler and Russ Gibson. Sounds like Fern Creek has underacheived for over 80 years, except during Gibson's era.
  21. Great list already, just some other names for thought.
  22. Just a few names I thought of that are left off the list: Jeffrey Adams (OT) Louisville Keenan Burton (WR) Kentucky Earl Heyman (DT) Louisville
  23. That's the word in the ville. No details just heard it a few minutes ago and was looking for info on here.
  24. Hopefully Ballard won't use their trick play either. Ran an illegal formation against Fern Creek, but it did not work. Four LM numbers and seven back rec. #'s in game. Substituted a #30 for a #68 on first down off the sideline. Guess you only get ridiculed when it works???
  25. 7-Fairdale 5-Eastern 3-Central 2-F. Creek 1-No. Oldham TB-Eastern
