  1. I think that is a pretty good prediction! Go Christian County!!
  2. You must mean Owensboro Catholic?? 2 Common Opponents Murray 29, Trigg 3 FC 29, Trigg 15 Murray 49, Todd 0 FC 61, Todd 0
  3. What, Really?? I can't recall FC playing either Fulton team or Ballard in recent memory; maybe they did many years ago.
  4. Bill, Our team still has a losing record and has taken a couple of embarrassing trips out behind the wood shed this season. I don't think any of our guys are taking Murray lightly. The most I have heard is that they want to beat Murray so they can get a chance to set things straight with OC. After playing against some big nastys from Pearl Cohn, our guys are not intimidated by Murray.
  5. I don't know about that, there are a couple of teams with Catholic in their names that you may have missed.
  6. Not what was expected, but fortunately still playing playoff football.
  7. Thanks for pointing out that we are still in this thing! Yes, OC is a mighty fine team.
  8. Nope!! Just saying that Monroe will IMO take the Eagles and be ready to play a great game against the winner of Green/Danville! They have found their mojo on defense for this kind of team. No matter who we think we are going to play next, we have to get by the Eagles first...I feel we have the right ingredients to make some Eagle Bar-B-Que friday night!!! Come one come all, just let me know you are coming and we will meet up at the Bar-B-Que for food!!! I think you are correct in your prediction!! Monroe by at least two TDs!!
  9. Hey, we agree on something! What a tremedous job by Stewart, the heart of a lion!!
  10. BELIEVE ME, THERE IS NOBODY IN FALCON LAND THAT REALIZES MORE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS TEAM AND PREVIOUS TEAMS!!!! THERE HAS ALSO NOT BEEN ANYBODY ON BGP MORE HONEST IN ASSESSING THIS YEAR'S TEAM!!!! When I say last night's performance will not be enough to beat Murray, that is an honest assessment. When I say FC should have beat a one-man Trigg team 42 -7 that is also an honest assessment.
  11. 29 + 7 for the punt return that was called back is 36. That only leaves one more TD out there for FC to account for to get to 42. Trigg had one legit scorinig drive period. Had it not been for a tremendous performance by Trigg's #12 this game would have been a complete laugher.
  12. It was a nice INT, but the game never should have come down to that. Horrible long-snap over the punters head by FC set up the whole scoring situation for Trigg. Some very bright spots for FC, but still too, too many turnovers and mistakes by FC this late in the season. Trigg had one legit scoring drive and FC bungled some opportunities - this game should have ended 42 -7 FC. FC better get their A game on this week heading to Murray, last nights performance will not be enough.
  13. You are very much correct. When he is rolling, I have one eye on him and my other eye is looking for a yellow hankie. This year especially, we don't get too excited about a score until a complete scan of the field for flags is complete.
  14. Congrats to Trigg County QB / LB Andrew Stewart; he was basically a one man team. FC played an average game and got the win against a weaker opponent. We will need a much more complete game to be successful against Murray. Disappointed that Tre Powell for a few short moments held the KHSAA all-time record for punt returns for TD. After all the excitement of the return, a yellow flag was noticied on the field (holding), points off the scoreboard, and Tre still stuck in a tie for the record at 10.
  15. What a difference a couple of hours on a Friday night can make. (Washington County gone, Glasgow gone, Monroe County with a second round home game against Ft. Knox, and next week either Danville or Green will eliminate the other) Things are looking pretty good down in Tompkinsville all of a sudden!!! Go MC Falcons!
  16. No! Monroe County and Fort Knox would not be in the playoffs if only the top two teams in a district went to the playoffs. Both teams went on the road and won. I imagine Glasgow and Washington County would have appreciated and agree with your idea of only the top two teams in a district making the playoffs.
  17. Way to go Monroe County Falcons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Congratulations to the Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go on the road and get it done!!!
  19. Lots of bets on the 'Breds. You all been following the status of their top player, Kelly ?????
  20. Wow, you would be surprised at the ribbing and smack-talking this team has endured from FC fans, former FC players, opposing fans & opposing players. This team carries the weight of the world on their shoulders. The only 2A team to 3-peat in the history of KY high school football. With greatness comes the expectation of continued greatness.
  21. Ours also, an old rival (Trigg County), then a big and nasty (Murray), and if fortune would continue to shine (Owensboro Catholic). Lots of things would have to work out for another all-Falcon semi, but that's why they play the games. Go Falcons!!!
  22. I agree with your reasoning and picks for these two games. Hancock County is a good football team, they just happen to be in the same district as O-Cath and Fort Campbell - thus the #3 seed. Monroe County has been to the semi-final the last two seasons. A win for Monroe against any team should not be considered as an upset. Monroe County is the 2 - time defending region champ until somebody beats them.
