There are two games that come to mind with me and these are lower seeds defeating higher seeds, but I would not consider these to be upsets:

 

Dist. 3, Region 1 #3 seed MONROE COUNTY (6-4) defeating Dist. 4, Region 1 #2 seed WASHINGTON COUNTY (9-1)

 

I like Monroe's experience, speed, and hard nosed capability to prevail in this one !!!

 

Dist. 2, Region 1 #3 seed HANCOCK COUNTY (7-3) defeating Dist. 1, Region 1 #2 seed CALDWELL COUNTY (6-4)

 

I like Hancock's schedule and fiestiness to prevail in this one !!!

I agree on Monroe County. I think they have the makings of a post-season run.

I truly feel that one team from district three is going to be the region champs, and IMO go all the way!!!

I agree with your reasoning and picks for these two games.

 

Hancock County is a good football team, they just happen to be in the same district as O-Cath and Fort Campbell - thus the #3 seed.

 

Monroe County has been to the semi-final the last two seasons. A win for Monroe against any team should not be considered as an upset. Monroe County is the 2 - time defending region champ until somebody beats them.

I think you could also add

 

Dist. 8, Region 1 #3 seed LESLIE COUNTY (3-7) defeating Dist. 7, Region 1 #2 seed SHELBY VALLEY (3-7)

 

Leslie County defeated Shelby Valley 24-19 in a regular season matchup at home, could repeat that performance.
