  1. Come on now; it sounds like the Trigg supporters are already working on a list of why things won't work out in their favor Friday night. (Just Kidding) Bring your driver's license and insurance - it should be a great night for football.
  2. 7 - Madisonville-North Hopkins 5 - Warren East 3 - Glasgow 2 - Henderson County 1 - Adair County TB - Madisonville-North Hopkins
  3. I still think PT is the team to beat right now. FC will pretty much have their final standing in the district determined in a short time span as they play Trigg this week and PT next week. PT also has the advantage of playing both Trigg and FC in Paducah.
  4. It is nice to have Trigg & FC in the same district where they always should have been. We saw Trigg over the summer when they came to FC for the 7 on 7 camp. They have some good players. Don't know if they are doing anything different as Shannon Burcham was still at the helm for the 7 on 7. Trigg comes in 4 - 0, FC is 2 - 3. If the schedules were traded up to this point - FC would be 4 - 0 and Trigg 2 - 3. I expect a good game, seems like it always is between these two schools. I look for FC to win at home.
  5. The only way the Colonels will stop scoring is because the clock says, 0:00 A lot of young players should see some action for the Colonels.
  6. Very good football game, down to the last minute, perfect weather, great environment. FC, after a long time, finally played Falcon football. They demonstrated that they have the talent required to play with a top 5 team in 5A on the road. This game, like all close games, came down to a couple of plays that determined the outcome. The Seniors led the way in this one, Aaron Hills & Marcus Tucker were by far the best athletes within the confines of the Stadium of Champions. FC shut-down the pass to the point that the Colonels gave up on it. FC starts district play next week with a lot of confidence. Good Luck to the Colonels the rest of the season - hope to see them playing back in the 5A title game. Good Game Falcons!!
  7. Well, if nothing else, we have the bottom line defined on FC football.
  8. No doubt about it! The perfect size stadium for high school championships, nearly new turf & Bowling Green is a nice town with the sponsor dollars.
  9. Not too worried about the rankings for FC, just want to win the district with Paducah Tilghman & Trigg County in the near future. I imagine those that determine the rankings figure that none of the other teams ranked in 3A would fair a whole lot better than FC against 5A power Warren Central. Christian County, another 5A power on tap for Friday night.
  10. It is a superb playing surface for FC - have been told that it is the same that the Saints have in the Super Dome.
  11. Owensboro Catholic has played on a turf surface for the last several years. It is not their facility - believe it is Kentucky Wesleyan College there in Owensboro.
  12. Brand new for the 2010 season Yes, FC played Monroe County in the 2009 2A semi-final at Austin Peay.
  13. 7 - Henderson County 5 - Franklin-Simpson 3 - Calloway County 2 - Caverna 1 - Fort Campbell TB - Henderson County
  14. It all comes down to discipline for FC. One game you see flashes of Falcon football, next game you just have to shake your head at the garbage ball, next game a senior decides to play near his potential and scores three TDs in a span of a couple of minutes. It is mind-numbing to say the least. I hope #57 gets up on the wrong side of the bed Friday and takes his frustrations out on the Colonel offense. He has the ability to be a game changer from the LB position just as former Falcon Josh Carter was a couple of years ago. He is a physical beast.
  15. 1- Mayfield 2- O Cath 3- PT 4- Fort Campbell 5- Trigg County 6- Murray 7- Union County 8- Monroe County 9- Edmonson County 10- Caldwell County Mayfield & O Cath would be an interesting matchup
  16. FC has the talent to win against the Colonels, but they would have to play a near perfect game to get it done. FC is familiar with the Colonels by virtue of proximity, playing the Colonels at the freshman, JV, seven on seven, last season's Jamboree, every other sport etc.... I am surprised by both teams this season; CC surprises me that they graduated some superior talent from last year's 5A runner-up squad & somehow they have reloaded and are better this season. FC surprises me that two years after Antonio Andrews graduated, the Falcons are still suffering from the hangover as nobody has taken over as the team leader. CC is by far the favorite, no doubt about it & the game is at the Stadium of Champions. We will see how this one goes, but don't expect a repeat of the Warren Central game - those results happen about once a decade. This will be the only game I won't be cheering for the Colonels as they navigate their path to the first weekend in December.
  17. It is the same story with PT every year. Yes they have the talent, but will they all show-up and play together?
  18. Nice win for Trigg. What a difference 4 weeks makes for Caldwell; 80 plus in week one, continuing downward in weeks 2 & 3 and now only 6 in week 4.
  19. Nice to get a win - still plenty of work yet to be done. Freshman QB showing improvement & many Seniors finally played closer to their potential. Big game for Aaron Hills look forward to seeing the stats in the morning. Next game will be a challenge on a whole different level (Christian County)
  20. Not any FC stats worth posting at this time. Sorry
  21. 7 - Fort Campbell 5 - Mayfield 3 - Caldwell County 2 - Christian County 1 - Fulton County TB - Mayfield
  22. I agree with that. Murray was hard to almost impossible to stop against the run with all 11 players lined up between the hash marks. They came very, very close in spoiling FC's undeafted season in '09. I think it is safe to say that the 2A championship game was played that evening in Murray.
