Final..

Very good football game, down to the last minute, perfect weather, great environment.

FC, after a long time, finally played Falcon football. They demonstrated that they have the talent required to play with a top 5 team in 5A on the road. This game, like all close games, came down to a couple of plays that determined the outcome. The Seniors led the way in this one, Aaron Hills & Marcus Tucker were by far the best athletes within the confines of the Stadium of Champions. FC shut-down the pass to the point that the Colonels gave up on it.

FC starts district play next week with a lot of confidence.

Good Luck to the Colonels the rest of the season - hope to see them playing back in the 5A title game.

Good Game Falcons!!

I’m not a big fan of “moral victories”, but if there is one for the Falcons this was it. Of course the Falcons wanted to win and they had their chances. Christian County is good team and made some stops when they really needed to. However, the Falcons played toe-to-toe with the Colonels all night. I don’t think the Falcons even had a penalty or turnover until halfway through the third quarter.

Christian County’s run defense is very good so Fort Campbell went to the pass and found some success. They played much better on defense with the exception of a couple missed tackles on the corners which setup or allowed Christian County to score.

Overall I left the game impressed with the way the Falcon’s played and looking forward to district play next week. This is what they needed, to play tough against a good opponent and play as a team.

I can't say anything that hasn't really been said already by FalconBacker and FC.....FC even touched on my thoughts regarding "moral victories".

The Fort Campbell Falcons, while putting another notch in the loss column, have NOTHING to be ashamed of by this game. I'm positive that they see things otherwise, but they played very well last night and should go into district play with a newly found confidence.

Later.

Fort Campbell will give Trigg and Paducah all they want the next two weeks. Thought FC coaches did a good job of simplify their offense for less mental mistakes. They got some studs and thought FC was the most talented team Christian has played.
