  1. WKU was much better than PJCS for high school games. Hope it stays in Bowling Green for years to come.
  2. Congrats to the fine players from Boyle, past and present!
  3. Very True!! ND is a historic program that currently resides in the Land That Time Forgot. Tradition always gets a few more votes in preseason polls, but does zero when it comes to actually playing in the 21st Century. Congratulations to AC on the offer! He has a Dad that has been through this process and will help him make the right choice.
  4. His decision is pretty close-hold, I have tried to work it out of his Dad on several occasions with zero success.
  5. Curtis Pulley, Hopkinsville 2004 Mr. Football
  6. I am more than happy with the list. Marcus and Micah on the all-decade list; can't ask for much more from a 2A program. It was nice to have Marcus back in the locker room and on the sideline for the 2A Championship game two weeks ago supporting the FC Falcons!
  7. Still losing sleep over Antonio's 59 yard touchdown reception in the closing minutes of the 2008 title game at PJCS??? Maybe Antonio will end up at UK and all of Kentucky can cheer for him for the next four years. Antonio on the field at the same time with Randall Cobb, wow! We were honored to have two great games against the 'Breds in Louisville and the 2008 game could have went either way for sure, FC was just fortunate to have Antonio.
  8. I expected to see some names from Murray on the 1st or 2nd team. They had a beast of a line with Robert Olive and Lonnie Martin. Brandon Wicks was the best RB we faced all year. They had FC tied until the last 14 seconds of the game and finished with a record of 12 -1. Had FC not walked out of Bowling Green with the 2A title it would have been Murray, no doubt about it! The 2A title game was played in Murray, KY on November 20th. Congratulations to Neil Wilson #11 of Monroe County for making the receiver honorable mention list. Neil was the best all around football player FC faced this season; I wish he played for FC.
  9. Congratulations to Coach French and Coach Mueller. Congratulations to Rees MacShara on an outstanding season!!!! Outstanding is probably not close to doing justice, but Congratulations!!
  10. Congratulations Antonio Andrews!!!!!! I have been saying he was Mr. Football for months; what a big honor for him, his family and the FC community. Also, says a lot about Coach Berner producing a Mr. Football in 2005 & 2009 at a little 2A school!! He really knows how to develop a game plan based upon the strength of his players.
  11. I am thinking it is coming to Antonio Andrews, two Mr. Football winners; 2005 & 2009. That would be quite the accomplishment for a little 2A school in Western KY.
  12. Whoa that is a far stretch, somebody, anybody, anywhere hanging 42 on FC!?!? I don't have any idea how the Falcons and Bluebirds would matchup, but honored to be mentioned in any discussion with the best team in the land. Highlands is the Champion of Champions in the Bluegrass!
  13. I pointed out on a few occasions that our defensive backfield is the base of the 2009 state champion track and field team. Many were dismissive that track speed and football speed are two different things. All I know is FC defensive backs bring home the bling whether on the grid iron or the track. CB Breeon Moreno, FS Tre Powell, CB Derrious Brown, and mister super hybrid safety/linebacker Darian Crank. Now that the season is over, I will cover a couple of things we would not think of mentioning over the last few weeks. FC held Murray to 7 points in the first half and led 21 - 7 at the half. We sustained two significant injuries to our D-line that first half - #90 Nick Mastrian broken leg and #48 Tim Nikolao blown knee. Since that time, FC was challenged in stopping the run, second half at Murray and the last two games. Had it not been for those two significant injuries at almost the same time, I don't believe we would have been so challenged by the simple wildcat formation. The Murray game was by far our toughest test of the season. Murray is big, nasty, host an awesome environment for a game, and a running back named Brandon Wicks that is a beast. Murray, much like DeSales could do nothing but run, no passing game at all. It is very hard to get to a championship and almost impossible to win a championship as a one dimensional offensive team. You can run all over the field for eight minute chunks of time, but if you end up with 3 points or 0 points what is accomplished? When you play a team like FC that will eventually stack some points on the scoreboard, you will eventually have to give up the gadget offense known as the wildcat. That precise moment when a team transitions from the wildcat to catch-up offense is when FC says check mate!
  14. No more honest statement then that, PT is stacked with talent every year. Looks like the coaching staff got it figured out when it mattered - in the playoffs. Congrats PT; I am amazed!!
  15. I was standing on the Avenue of Champions almost right under the goal post at the time of the kick. I don't know about the clock, but I do know about the kick. Even if a delay would have ben called and the ball moved back five yards, that young man had plenty of leg remaining to knock it through.
  16. I watched the 4A game today, both of those teams are probably happpy that Highlands was 5A this season!
  17. I hope so!! It was great to see a lot of Monroe County Falcons sitting with us and supporting FC at the Championship for the 2nd year in a row. I had the opportunity to congratulate Neil Wilson for his superb game last week vs. FC. You all from Monroe are a complete class act! Can't wait for another Falcon vs. Falcon matchup next year.
  18. Congratulations Highlands!! The Bluebirds are the Champions of Champions in the Commonwealth!!!
  19. Congratulations Falcons on a Perfect season and history making 2A three in a row!!
  20. Congratulations to Austin Collinsworth!! What a great honor for him, his family and school. It was a huge event here at FC when Micah Johnson was selected and awesome to watch on National TV. His All-American helmet worn during the game is still in the FC trophy case.
