Awesome...Congratualtions Mr. Collinsworth...:thumb:

Congrats on that award he definately deserves just seeing highlights of him, I was very impressed. Anyways does anybody know when he'll make a commitment?

CONGRATULATIONS AUSTIN!!

A well deserved honor! :thumb:

Very much deserved. That a boy Austin way to make the Mr Football voters look like they know what they are talking about. Go Figure. Can anyone tell when the other Mr Football nominees and especially Mr Football are going to get their invitation for the Army Game?

That will probably happen during the All American game with family and friends. Pretty cool if you have never seen it, they take a kid to the "commitment corner" and put him on live national tv and lay out a handful of team hats and he picks up his selection and puts it on. Should be really cool for a well deserving kid and family. :thumb:

Man that is really impressive and a great accomplishment for this young man. Way to go!

Congrats Austin! Well deserved award.

Congrats to AC!

I'd love to see him play all 3 positions in the game to show his skills.

Anyone know how many kids from Kentucky have earned this honor?

Micah Johnson is the only one that comes to mind

Did he win Mr Football? Did he get nominated for Mr Football?

I believe Brohm played in this game.

GREAT reward for a young man who has worked extremely hard and deserves this honor. I guess some informed people actually know talent when it is presented to them, unlike some of the less informed voters for the Mr. Kentucky award. Anyways, AC has bigger and better things to look forward to than almost all of the other 18 candidates...State Championships, another ring, Army All American game, etc......Oh, and choosing between UK, UC, Louisville(GOD, please no!), Vandy, Stanford, Harvard. Hope he has a good pair of sunglasses. Oh well, I guess AC will quickly get over being spurned when he has to choose between some of the best academic institutions on earth or playing in the SEC. It's good to be the King.

Mis-spelled it but yes Johnson won Mr. Football

An elite honor.. congrats AC
